Abstract

Reflection skills are techniques that focus the client's feelings on counseling sessions. So that the feeling of being doubtful or blurred can become clearer. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of the reflection skills of BK teachers in SMKN-1 Palangkaraya in implementing individual counseling to students. In this study using the type of qualitative research that is explained in this study more clearly explained by the source of the data in this study must be saturated or it can be said that the statement in the study does not change. The sample in this study amounted to 12 people consisting of 4 BK teachers and 8 students. Data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that the SMKN-1 Palangkaraya teacher displayed feeling skills during counseling that began by listening carefully, interpreting the implied feelings, and formulating in clear sentences containing feelings. It was concluded that the BK teacher performed the skills to reflect feelings well, so that is what makes students often come to the BK room. Supported by students' statements during the interview after following counseling that they feel relieved and clearly understand their own feelings.

Abstract

Learning habits are methods or techniques that settle in students when receiving lessons, reading books, doing assignments, and setting time to complete learning activities. To get good learning achievement, students must have good study habits. The phenomenon obtained by researchers at SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya is (1) Students do not have structured learning habits, (2) many students do not understand the lessons conveyed in teaching and learning activities, and (3) Students are less active in asking questions if they do not understand with the material delivered by the teacher. This study aims to determine how the learning habits of students who excel in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya. This study uses a qualitative method. The population in the study were all students of class XI using a sample of 5 (five) students who have good learning achievement and study habits by looking at the student achievement index. In this study, researchers used 3 (three) data collection techniques, namely, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed that class XI students at SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya have good study habits. This can be seen from students' good understanding of methods, techniques, skills, or efficient learning methods.
