Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of strategy in studying language toward thinking style in EFL students senior high school students in the South Buton regency. A correlational design was used as the method of this research. There were 50 students from grade eleven involved in this research. The data collection used questionnaires as the instrument for both variables and analyzed using the regression test. This research found that the mean score for language learning strategies was 72.78, which was in the good category and the mean score for thinking style was 74.57, which was also in the good category. The hypothesis testing result indicated language learning strategies are significantly and strongly correlated to thinking style since the score of correlation was 0.775.

Abstract

Plagiarisme merupakan tindakan yang sering kali merusak etika penelitian, hak cipta, dan integritas akademik. Di Indonesia, masalah plagiat semakin meruncing dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi yang memudahkan akses ke berbagai sumber informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis yuridis terhadap plagiatisme di Indonesia dengan fokus pada peraturan hukum, peran lembaga, serta dampak sosial dan akademiknya. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif yang mengkaji undang-undang, peraturan, dan peraturan terkait dengan hak cipta dan pelanggaran etika akademik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia telah memiliki kerangka hukum yang cukup kuat dalam melindungi hak cipta dan mengatasi plagiatisme, terutama dalam Undang-Undang No. 28 Tahun 2014 tentang Hak Cipta. Namun, pelaksanaan dan penegakan hukum terkait plagiat masih menimbulkan tantangan. Pemerintah perlu memperkuat penegakan hukum, lembaga pendidikan harus meningkatkan pemahaman tentang etika penelitian, dan masyarakat perlu meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya integritas akademik dan hak cipta. Dengan demikian, upaya bersama ini akan mengurangi insiden plagiatisme di Indonesia dan mempromosikan budaya akademik yang lebih bermartabat.
