Abstract

The importance of quality education in building a society that contributes to national development. The quality of education in Indonesia is currently still low. The problems often faced in the quality of education are economic factors and budget funds. Therefore, the government launched a compulsory education program and a free school program. This research aims to determine (1) the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam, (2) the positive and negative impact of free schools on the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam and (3) solutions to minimize the negative impact of free schools on the quality of education in Pagar Alam 1 Public High School. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are (1) the quality of education is very good, seen in every component of education, both input, process and output, (2) the positive impact is to provide opportunities for students who are less fortunate but have good academic and non-academic achievements to learn. at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam, while there is no negative impact on the quality of education, and (3) the solution to minimize the negative impact of free schools on the quality of education is by coordinating with parents and guardians, monitoring student success levels and utilizing available facilities and infrastructure. there is a maximum.

Abstract

Baiturrahman TPA, which is located in Sambirejo hamlet, Cokromenggalan village, Ponorogo district, was established in 1955. TPA began to develop rapidly in 1988. In an educational institution, both formal and non-formal, of course there are several problems faced both in terms of learning strategies, facilities , educators and so on. Likewise, the Baiturrahman TPA also has a problem. The problem that is being faced is that students are not fluent in reading the Qur'an due to the lack of knowledge of students about makhorijul letters and tajwid knowledge. So that students in reading the Qur'an are in a hurry and do not pay attention to the length and the law of reading contained in the verse that is being read. Of these two problems, the researcher focuses more on the lack of knowledge of students about the science of recitation. The researcher gave an offer to the Baiturrahman TPA teacher. The offer is to use learning strategies in teaching tajwid. The strategy is to use a learning method. The method chosen by the researchers to use is the drill method. After the drill method runs in the TPA, students who take part in the TPA activities can follow it well. In addition, students can receive recitation material easily.
