Supplier selection is the most important thing for a company to find out the best supplier who will supply products to the company, especially at Toserba Fajar Karawang. The supplier selection process at Toserba Fajar Karawang is still not systematic enough so that the supplier selection process is not accurate. Therefore, a decision support system is needed in supplier selection which is part of the computer information system used by a company which will later process data into information to make a decision. The purpose of this study is expected to help in the goods order section in the process or determine the selection of the best supplier selection built using the Multifactor Evaluation Process (MFEP) method, this method was chosen because it can provide subjective and intuitive considerations in a decision so that these considerations are in the form of giving weight to multifactors that are considered important to the alternatives that have been selected. Based on the final result, namely a decision support system for selecting the best supplier where users can input and get the stored data, namely criteria data, sub-criteria data, supplier data, product data, selection data, and report data.

Abstract

The critical period for the growth and development of infants can be referred to as a critical period. It is said that this critical period in infancy will be very detrimental to the environment around it and it is said that the future due to infancy is very short and cannot be repeated. Newborns are more susceptible to various diseases. Diseases in infants can be identified based on the symptoms that arise. This is caused by several factors including the lack of information about diseases in infants after birth that is known to the general public. Therefore, research is needed on diseases and symptoms that affect babies after birth. One alternative in order to find out the disease in the baby after birth can use an expert system. In building the system, the author uses the Backward Chaining method, uses the Waterfall system development method (SDLC) and the Object Oriented Approach (OOA). The result of this research is a web-based application that can later be accessed or used to make it easier for the public, especially parents of babies, to diagnose symptoms or diseases in babies after birth as early as possible.

Abstract

This study investigates university students’ perceptions of ChatGPT as a speaking partner in English-speaking practice. Employing a qualitative research design, the study involved English major students at Horizon University Indonesia who engaged in ChatGPT-assisted speaking activities for four weeks. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and reflective journals and analyzed using thematic analysis to examine students’ perceptions, perceived benefits and challenges, and the impact of ChatGPT on their motivation and speaking confidence. The findings reveal that students generally perceived ChatGPT as a helpful, accessible, and non-judgmental speaking partner. Its use provided increased opportunities for speaking practice, facilitated vocabulary development, and offered immediate feedback, which contributed positively to students’ motivation and confidence. Nevertheless, challenges were identified, including limited emotional interaction, occasional unnatural responses, and difficulties in sustaining extended contextual conversations. Overall, the study concludes that ChatGPT can function as an effective supplementary tool in English-speaking practice, particularly when integrated with appropriate pedagogical guidance to support EFL learners’ oral communication in higher education.
