Abstract

The impact of counseling guidance, activities and dynamics must be realized to discuss various things that are useful for the development or solving problems of individuals or groups of individuals. This research aims to find out how guidance and counseling is implemented on student character behavior at SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia and to find out the implementation of character education at SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia. This research was conducted based on awareness of the importance of the impact of guidance and counseling on the character behavior of students at SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia, Lanny Jaya Regency. This research uses qualitative methods because qualitative research uses data in the form of words or narratives. This data was taken through observation and interview techniques. Interviews with respondents were considered to provide accurate information as needed in this research. The data findings obtained from this research are first, character education is applied in all subjects at school and even extracurricularly. Second, the role of schools in developing character education has been carried out in accordance with the vision and mission, motto and in accordance with the character of Christ, which includes loving, forgiving, caring, humble, patient, sincere, willing to share, obedient and mutual respect. Third, the role of guidance and counseling teachers is very important in implementing character education that is in accordance with the character of Christ. The guidance and counseling teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia has played his role in educating students according to and towards the character of Christ. This role is carried out by acting and exemplifying attitudes not only as a teacher but also as a friend, motivator and agent of change for his students. ABSTRAKDampak bimbingan konseling, aktivitas, dan dinamika harus diwujudkan untuk membahas berbagai hal yang berguna untuk pengembangan atau pemecahan masalah individu maupun sekelompok individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan bimbingan konseling terhadap perilaku karakter siwa di SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia dan mengetahui penerapan pendidikan karakter di SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia. Penelitian ini dilakukan atas kesadaran pentingnya Dampak Bimbingan Konseling Terhadap Perilaku Karakter Peserta Didik Di SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia Kabupaten Lanny Jaya. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif karena penelitian kualitatif menggunakan data yang berupa kata atau narasi. Data tersebut diambil melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara. Wawancara terhadap responden yang dinilai dapat memberikan informasi yang akurat sebagaimana yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian ini. Temuan data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah pertama, pendidikan karakter diterapkan di seluruh mata pelajaran yang ada di sekolah bahkan ekstrakurikuler. Kedua, peran sekolah dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan visi-misi, motto dan sesuai dengan karakter Kristus, yang mencakup mengasihi, mengampuni, peduli, rendah hati, sabar, tulus hati, mau berbagi, taat, dan saling menghargai. Ketiga, peran guru BK sangat penting dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dengan karakter Kristus. Guru BK di SMP Negeri 1 Gamelia telah melakukan perannya dalam mendidik para peserta didik sesuai dan mengarah kepada karakter Kristus. Peran tersebut dilakukan dengan cara bertindak dan meneladankan sikap-sikap tidak hanya sebagai pengajar tetapi juga sebagai sahabat, motivator, dan agen perubahan bagi peserta didiknya.
