Abstract

Exploring Potential and Seeking Opportunities, especially from the economic sector and the creative industry, must be carried out by upgrading capabilities and skills, to be remanaged. One of them is through skills training on making handycraft (bridal gifts) from multi-purpose materials for PKK women in Pekan Tanjung Morawa village, Deli Tengah Regency. With the aim that the community is able to find and process the Multipurpose Materials that we have in our lives to become creative and innovative products that have new benefits and selling value. The training method used is two-way communication (instructor and participant) by conducting demonstrations, practices and evaluations. The teaching materials used are handouts and presentation media (PPT), Leaflet, LCD, In focus, Sound System. Meanwhile, the tools and materials used are Towels, Satin Ribbons, Flannel Fabrics, Scissors, Glue Guns, Wooden Scissors, and Hand Needles, as well as sewing thread. The result of this activity is the enthusiasm of the trainees / PKK mothers in making handycrafts by looking at the results of practice based on their respective ideas. With the product results and the positive response from this activity, it can be seen that the interest of the PKK trainees / women in redeveloping products from this multi-purpose material with follow-up meetings / activities.

Abstract

Decorating fabric is an art of creating creations on materials in the form of fabric using ornamental motifs so that the fabric looks beautiful. The technique of decorating fabrics has been known by ancestors since time immemorial. The hand embroidery technique consists of several basic techniques that can be applied as decoration to form a pattern or motif. Some basic punctures on hand embroidery such as jelujur skewers, feston skewers, chain stitches, trace stabs, chain stitches, cross-stitches / Stars, and flannel (herringbone) skewers. The author uses a qualitative type of research. This form of research is literature analysis, namely by looking for references or data. The components of analysis are data reduction, presenting data and drawing conclusions or verification. In the study, two types of analysis were carried out, namely 1) analysis of the type / name of embroidery, visual appearance and description of embroidery techniques. Then the next analysis 2) identifies the types of embroidery techniques that exist based on the development of the basic types of hand embroidery stitching techniques. In its development, this embroidery technique is the application of one or more of the basic punctures of hand embroidery with other additions both materials and complementary techniques. Finally, it can be concluded that the embroidery technique is an expoloration process on the types of basic punctures, the use of materials to the techniques used such as pulling thread and scissoring. In other words, it does not rule out the possibility of recreating hand embroidery techniques without any restrictions.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kajian masalah dalam penelitian ini mengenai penerapan hasil belajar membuat hiasan busana pada pembuatan busana pesta anak yang dilakukan di SMK Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan Pada Peserta Didik kelas XI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran atau data hasil belajar membuat hiasan busana ditinjau dari kopetensi pengetahuan alat dan bahan pembuatan hiasan Baju, motif hiasan, pola hiasan, desain hiasan, unsur hiasan, macam-macam tusuk hias dasar, dan macam-macam sulaman pada pembuatan hiasan busana pesta anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptip yang menggunakan strategi kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel total berjumlah 27 orang. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan angket. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan hasil belajar “Membuat Hiasan pada Busana” di tinjau dari penerapan pengetahuan alat dan bahan pembuatan hiasan busana, motif hiasan, pola hiasan, desain hiasan dan unsur hiasan busana, serta pemilihan tehnik hiasan yang sesuai dengan karakteristik busana. Saran yang diajukan adalah peserta didik agar mengembangkan dan meningkatkan keterampilan dengan cara banyak berlatih membuat macam-macam bentuk desain hiasan, pola hiasan dengan teknik sulaman pada Kreativitas siswa dalam Pembuatan Hiasan Baju Kata Kunci: Kreativitas, Hiasan baju Abstract Study of the problem in this study regarding the application of learning outcomes to make fashion decorations in the manufacture of children's party dresses carried out at SMK Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan for Class XI Students. This study aims to obtain an overview or data on the results of learning to make fashion ornaments in terms of competency knowledge of tools and materials for making clothes decorations, decorative motifs, decorative patterns, decorative designs, decorative elements, various basic decorative stitches, and various types of embroidery in making children's party dress. The research method used is a descriptive method using a quantitative strategy. The sample used is a total sample of 27 people. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. The conclusion of this study shows that the application of learning outcomes "Making Decorations on Clothing" is reviewed from the application of knowledge of tools and materials for making fashion decorations, decorative motifs, decorative patterns, decorative designs and elements of clothing decoration, as well as the selection of decorative techniques according to the characteristics dress. The suggestion put forward is that students develop and improve their skills by practicing a lot in making various forms of decorative designs, decorative patterns with embroidery techniques on student creativity in making clothes ornaments.
