Abstract

Kata Kunci: Deteksi Dini, Hipertensi Emergensi, Kegawatdaruratan, Penyuluhan Kesehatan  ABSTRACT The high prevalence of hypertension as a silent killer disease every year needs to be accompanied by awareness of emergencies that can occur, one of which is hypertensive emergencies. This condition can increase the prevalence of death among sufferers, so appropriate management are needed to overcome it. This activity aims to increase sufferers' knowledge and attitudes regarding hypertension emergencies as an effort to prevent emergencies through early detection and health education programs. Community service activities were carried out using direct health education methods for 48 hypertension sufferers. The evaluation method is carried out by filling out a pre-and post-test design questionnaire. The activity was successfully carried out with the enthusiasm of the participants as evidenced by their timely attendance and a variety of questions as well as very positive sharing session activities. The results of service activities show an increase in knowledge about hypertension and participants' attitudes toward hypertension management to prevent hypertensive emergencies. It is hoped that the community will continue to strive to optimize their health status through similar activities to reduce the prevalence of hypertensive emergencies. The results of this activity also underlie the need to hold a follow-up program in the form of community empowerment, especially cadres, in detecting hypertensive emergenices in sufferers around where they live.  Keywords: Early Detection, Emergencies, Health Education, Hypertensive Emergency

Abstract

One of the emergency complications that usually occurs is hypertension. Physical exercise, such as Anti-Hypertension Exercises, is one of the efforts needed to control blood pressure and reduce the risk of complications. This program aims to improve community understanding and skills in controlling blood pressure through activity training (anti-hypertension exercises) to prevent hypertension-related emergencies. A health education method that provided education, demonstration, and practice of Anti-Hypertension Exercises together was carried out with 48 people with hypertension in the Kebagusan area, Pasar Minggu, Jakarta. The results of the activity showed an increase in public knowledge and attitudes about preventing hypertension emergencies through Anti-Hypertension Exercises and changes in blood pressure, both systolic, diastolic, and MAP, before and after the activity. It is hoped that Anti-Hypertension Exercises activities can be carried out consistently so that blood pressure can be controlled and reduce the risk of complications of hypertension emergencies.
