Abstract

Physical education in schools contributes to students' physical and mental health. To produce learning achievement in this subject, teachers must design unique and effective methods. This research aims to determine the role of teacher creativity and innovation in influencing the quality of learning which has an impact on learning achievement at MTs in Cikijing District, Majalengka Regency. The research design was quantitative, using an explanatory survey of 92 teachers in four sub-districts using a questionnaire instrument. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and verifiably through path analysis. Research findings show that teacher creativity, which encourages new learning methods, synergizes with teacher innovation, opens the door to more effective teaching approaches, and the improved quality of learning positively impacts student achievement. The implications of this research include developing training programs and adapting educational policies to support teachers in implementing innovation and creativity, providing practical guidance for educators and policies to improve the quality of learning and student achievement.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mendampingi sepuluh sekolah Islam di Kabupaten Majalengka dalam mengembangkan rencana aksi sekolah (school action plan) berorientasi mutu dan akhlak mulia. Latar belakang kegiatan adalah keterbatasan integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam tata kelola sekolah, yang berdampak pada rendahnya kualitas pembelajaran dan perilaku peserta didik. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif, mentoring, workshop, dan validasi eksternal. Subjek kegiatan terdiri dari 120 guru, 20 kepala sekolah, dan 230 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi survei pre/post, asesmen karakter, dan peer review dokumen rencana aksi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi pedagogis dan karakter guru serta kepala sekolah, tercapainya perubahan perilaku siswa pada indikator disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kejujuran, serta terbentuknya sistem tata kelola sekolah berbasis karakter. Kelebihan kegiatan ini adalah model mentoring kolaboratif dan praktik peer review yang mempercepat transfer inovasi serta penguatan jejaring eksternal. Keterbatasannya terletak pada adaptasi digital dan perlunya waktu lebih panjang untuk perubahan habit jangka panjang. Program ini memiliki peluang pengembangan melalui replikasi di wilayah dan konteks lain serta penerapan sistem asesmen digital terstandar. Kesimpulan menegaskan pengabdian ini telah memberikan dampak nyata baik secara individual, institusional, maupun sosial di lingkungan sekolah Islam Majalengka.
