Abstract

ABSTRAK Bantargebang, sebuah tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA) utama di Bekasi, Jawa Barat, menghadapi masalah pencemaran lingkungan yang serius akibat kapasitas yang hampir penuh dan limbah yang tidak terolah dengan baik, seperti plastik dan logam berat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai bioremediasi sebagai solusi efektif dalam pengelolaan limbah di Bantargebang. Melalui pendekatan bioremediasi menggunakan mikroorganisme seperti mikroalga, diharapkan dapat mengurangi polusi dan meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan di sekitar TPA. Metode yang digunakan meliputi persiapan, perencanaan kegiatan dan pelaksanaan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan potensi besar bioremediasi dalam mengurangi pencemaran dan memberikan nilai tambah ekonomis melalui biomassa yang dihasilkan. Kolaborasi berkelanjutan antara pemerintah, akademisi, dan industri sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung pengelolaan limbah yang lebih baik dan berkelanjutan. ABSTRACTBantargebang, a major landfill in Bekasi, West Java, faces serious environmental pollution issues due to nearly full capacity and inadequately treated waste, such as plastics and heavy metals. This community service activity aims to enhance understanding of bioremediation as an effective solution for waste management in Bantargebang. By employing bioremediation techniques using microorganisms like microalgae, the initiative seeks to reduce pollution and improve environmental quality around the landfill. The methodology includes preparation, activity planning and implementation. Results indicate a significant potential of bioremediation in mitigating pollution and providing economic value through the biomass produced. Sustained collaboration between the government, academia, and industry is essential to support better and sustainable waste management.

Abstract

This study analyzes the optimization of ship crew recruitment through operational risk management at PT TOS Indonesia. The study is grounded in ISO 31000, HRM, and recruitment theory. A qualitative case study approach is applied using interviews, observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal key risks such as crew shortages, competency mismatches, and verification delays. Existing systems remain reactive. Therefore, risk-based strategies including standardization, digitalization, and continuous monitoring are required. The study concludes that risk-based recruitment improves effectiveness, compliance, and operational reliability.
