This research aims to determine the effectiveness and influence of SIPERMAN learning media in increasing students' reading interest in class V science and science learning at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 Semarang. The background to this research is that 69.5% of class VB students at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 still have low interest in reading. The method in this research is quantitative. The subjects in this research were class VB students at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 Semarang. The research instruments used were interviews, documentation, questionnaires and tests. The research design used was One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data analysis technique in this research is inferential statistics. The data results were analyzed using N.Gain and t test. The N.Gain results show a value of 0.65, in the "Medium" category. Meanwhile, the t test begins by testing the normality of the data first. The results show a significance value of more than 0.005. Then the Paired Sample T-test was carried out. Paired Sample Statistics shows that the average pretest value is 43.33, while the average posttest value is 80.00. Then from the Paired Sample Test, the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000. So 0.000 < 0.05, meaning H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Because H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, it means there is an average difference between the pretest and posttest results. So there is an influence of using SIPERMAN learning media in increasing students' reading interest. Before implementing SIPERMAN learning media, 69.5% of students' interest in reading was still low. After implementing the SIPERMAN learning media, students' reading interest increased by 94.1%. The results of this research are that SIPERMAN learning media is effective and can influence students' reading interest in class V science and science learning at SDN Pandeanlamper 01 Semarang.
