Abstract

This research was conducted in class IV B at SDN Kebonsari I Surabaya with the aim of finding out the effect of using teaching aids in Mathematics learning, especially in Measurement material. It was found that student learning outcomes were low, mainly due to teacher-centered learning methods and the minimal use of teaching aids. It is feared that this condition will further reduce student learning outcomes. This research suggests the use of teaching aids to improve mathematics learning outcomes. The long measuring unit ladder prop is used and proven to be effective in improving learning outcomes and student activities. The research results showed a significant improvement, with the average learning outcomes increasing from 68.57% at the beginning of cycle I to 92.50% at the end of cycle II. The use of teaching aids makes learning more interesting and easy to understand. This teaching aid has a significant positive impact on students' learning outcomes, making them more active and enthusiastic, and making it easier to understand the concept of measuring length. It is hoped that the results of this research will become a reference for teachers in improving the quality of Mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Kebonsari I Surabaya which are still low, especially in bar diagram material using the Diagram Board (PADI) teaching aid media. This media is designed to make learning more interactive and concrete. in line with constructivist learning theory and Bruner's theory which emphasizes the importance of concrete experience in understanding abstract concepts. The research method applied is Collaborative Classroom Action Research (PTK.K) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which includes two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research involved 26 class IV A SDN Kebonsari I Surabaya students as the main participants. The instruments used include observation sheets and essay tests to measure student learning outcomes. The results show a significant increase in student learning outcomes after using the Diagram Board (PADI) teaching aid media. In Cycle I, only 43% of students obtained a score above the KKM with a class average of 62.70. In Cycle II, all students (100%) succeeded in achieving a score above the KKM with a class average of 91.15. This increase shows the effectiveness of the Diagram Board (PAD) I teaching aid in increasing students' understanding of the concept of bar graphs. The use of the Diagram Board (PADI) teaching aid not only improves student learning outcomes but also encourages active participation and collaboration between students in study groups. This research suggests that teachers use interactive learning media more often to improve the quality of teaching and support the use of innovative media by schools to improve student learning outcomes. Further research is recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of this medium on various topics and grade levels.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the learning material of the community in my area in class IV of SDN Kebonsari 1/414 Surabaya, where students experience difficulties in understanding concepts. The main factors causing this are insufficient use of learning media and ineffective conventional teaching methods. Diorama media was used in this research to improve student learning outcomes. Planning, implementation, observation, and reflection are components of these two cycles of classroom action research. The research results show that the use of diorama media significantly improves student learning outcomes. The average score increased from 19% in cycle I to 88% in cycle II, and the percentage of completeness increased from 45.38% to 85.77%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of using cultural tower board media in improving the learning outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for class IV B students at SDN Kebonsari 1 Surabaya. The cultural tower board media was chosen as a learning tool because it has the potential to make the learning process more interesting, interactive and meaningful for students. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were class IV B students at SDN Kebonsari 1 in Surabaya City. Data was collected through learning results tests and observations, to measure student responses to the use of cultural tower board media. The research results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. The average student learning test score increased from 62.18 in cycle I to 87.2 in cycle II. Apart from that, student activity and participation in learning has also increased, as can be seen from the results of observations which show an increase in student activity and cooperation. Student responses to the use of cultural tower board media were also very positive. Most students stated that this media made learning more interesting and easier to understand. Thus, the use of cultural tower board media can be an effective alternative in improving science and science learning outcomes for class IV B students.

Abstract

This study uses the Problem Based Learning learning approach at SDN Kebonsari 1/414 Surabaya to enhance student learning results in the PPKn topic Mutual Cooperation content. Two cycles of the Classroom Action Research (PTK) design were employed in this study. Research involves several steps, including preparation, execution, monitoring, and analysis. The study's findings demonstrate that with each cycle, student learning outcomes have improved. An average score of 60–70 was attained in cycle I. Cycle II had an average score of 80–90, with cycle I's completion percentage of 46% and cycle II's percentage of 89%. It may be inferred that learning outcomes increased beginning with cycle I and continued to do so during cycle II.
