Abstract

Language is the sounds emitted from the human speech apparatus and must be meaningful. Language has important functions for humans, especially communicative functions. By communicating, humans can fulfill their desires as social creatures who are interconnected to express their thoughts and opinions and collaborate (Ibrahim, 1993: 159). This research is descriptive in nature because the data obtained cannot be expressed in the form of numbers or statistical figures, the researcher presents a description of the situation being studied. This research method is used to describe the function of conversational implicatures in interactive dialogues with public officials on Trans7. The data from the research is in the form of host speeches, namely, Andre Taulany, Wendy Cagur, Surya Insomnia, Andhika Pratama, Ayu Ting Ting, Hesti Purwadinata, Kiky Saputri, and Gilang Gombloh. and guest star, Anies Baswedan. The focus of this research is conversational implicature utterances and speech acts carried out by the Host and Guest Stars when the interactive dialogue takes place. There were 18 data collected. The results of this research found four functions of conversational implicature and speech acts, the function of conversational implicature, namely, representative implicature speech (statement of a fact, affirmation, conclusion, and description), commissive implicature speech (denying, rejecting), directive implicature (ordering), and expressive implicatures (apologizing, thanking, congratulating, insinuatingly criticizing) as well as for speech acts there are locutionary, illocutionary and perlocutionary speech acts in the interactive dialogue Report Pak on Trans7. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the conclusion of this research is that the researcher found a function form of conversational implicature in Laporpak Trans7's interactive dialogue with public officials
