Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sekolah dasar melalui penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan bantuan mind mapping dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan empat tahap utama: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Kejawan Grujugan Bondowoso yang berjumlah 24 orang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes dan dokumentasi. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif didefinisikan sebagai kemampuan untuk menghasilkan berbagai kemungkinan jawaban terhadap suatu masalah. Hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Pada siklus I, 50% siswa telah mencapai kategori di atas cukup kreatif, dan secara klasikal kemampuan berpikir kreatif berada pada kategori cukup kreatif. Pada siklus II, persentase tersebut meningkat menjadi 79,17%, dengan kategori klasikal yang mencapai tingkat kreatif. Oleh karena itu, penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan mind mapping terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V SDN Kejawan Grujugan Bondowoso pada pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify effective strategies for improving the quality of learning in Mathematics, Art, and English subjects at SDN Locare 01 Bondowoso. The background of this research highlights several challenges in achieving optimal learning outcomes, particularly in enhancing students’ interest and connecting the learning materials with real-life contexts. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and the school principal, as well as document analysis of curriculum materials and students’ learning outcomes. The learning improvement strategies explored include the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in Mathematics, project-based learning for Art and English subjects, and the integration of simple technology and interactive learning media to create more engaging learning experiences. The findings indicate that integrated learning strategies focusing on active student participation significantly improve conceptual understanding, creativity, and learning motivation. These results align with Wahyuni (2016), who found that contextual learning helps students connect mathematical concepts with daily life situations. Similarly, Marni (2022) emphasized that project-based learning in Art effectively fosters students’ creativity and collaboration, while Ajiza and Rahman (2021) demonstrated that Audio-Lingual and Total Physical Response (TPR) methods increase elementary students’ motivation in learning English. This study recommends enhancing teacher collaboration, providing continuous professional development, and conducting regular evaluations to sustain innovative learning practices and ensure the continuous improvement of education quality at SDN Locare 01 Bondowoso.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the low understanding of students regarding Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) at SDN Bataan 2 Bondowoso. The objective of the activity was to improve students' understanding of PHBS through interactive education. The methods used included lectures, game-based learning, direct practice, and discussions on four materials, namely balanced nutrition, physical activity, personal hygiene, and environmental cleanliness. Evaluation was carried out using a written pre-test and oral post-test administered to 18 students in grades IV and V. The results showed an increase in student understanding across all materials. The highest increase occurred in personal hygiene at 44%, followed by environmental cleanliness at 37%, physical activity at 19%, and balanced nutrition at 6%. Direct practice was proven to help students understand PHBS material more readily than theoretical learning alone. This activity demonstrates that interactive learning is capable of improving PHBS understanding among elementary school students.
