Abstract

This research focuses on discussing typical traditional foods made from fish originating from the islands of Bangka and Belitung. The aim is to find out the differences in the ingredients and the process of making Bangka and Belitung traditional foods, namely Lempah Kuning and Gangan. Lempah kuning is a very famous speciality among the people of Bangka, and Gangan is a speciality food whose main ingredient is made from fish originating from Belitung Island. This research uses a qualitative research type method with data collection methods in the form of observation and also conducting interviews with sources. Lempah Kuning from Bangka and Gangan from Belitung have differences in the types of spices and cooking methods. Lempah Kuning uses Belimbing Wuluh and Gangan utilises the acid from Pineapple. Lempah Kuning uses fish ingredients, while Gangan cooks fish, beef, chicken and duck. The resulting flavours and aromas are different.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada CV. TCP, sebuah UKM produsen roda apung dan sparepart alat pertanian yang mengalami permasalahan overproduction, penumpukan produk jadi, serta rework akibat ketidakkonsistenan penerapan sistem make to order. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan (waste) dan merumuskan solusi peningkatan efisiensi produksi melalui penerapan konsep Lean Manufacturing dengan metode Value Stream Mapping (VSM) dan Fishbone Diagram. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa total lead time produksi mencapai 95.945 detik dengan waktu bernilai tambah sebesar 92.580 detik, menandakan adanya aktivitas tidak efisien terutama pada proses coating, drying, dan perpindahan antar stasiun kerja. Akar permasalahan utama meliputi lemahnya koordinasi antarbagian, penggunaan mesin bergantian tanpa perawatan rutin, serta belum adanya sistem monitoring dan penyimpanan yang terintegrasi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diusulkan penerapan sistem digital monitoring, perawatan mesin terjadwal (preventive maintenance), penerapan sistem FIFO dan 5S, serta optimalisasi proses coating menggunakan teknologi pengering cepat untuk memperpendek waktu tunggu dan meningkatkan efisiensi produksi.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus from the genus Flavivirus and the family Flaviviridae, transmitted through the bites of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. One preventive measure can be achieved by using mosquito repellent lotion as a protective topical preparation. Bitter melon and papaya leaves contain flavonoids and antioxidants that have potential as natural repellent agents. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of lotion formulations containing bitter melon and papaya leaf extracts at concentrations of 0%, 2%, 4%, and 6%. The research method included preparing lotion formulations based on an oil-in-water emulsion, followed by physical quality testing according to SNI 16-4399-1996, including assessments of homogeneity, emulsion type, two-week stability, and skin irritation. Repellent effectiveness was tested by observing the number of mosquitoes that died after contacting skin treated with the lotion. The results show that all formulations meet the physical quality requirements, are homogeneous, stable, possess an oil-in-water emulsion type, and do not cause skin irritation. The extracts increase mosquito repellency, as indicated by the greater number of dead mosquitoes with higher extract concentrations. The 6% formulation is the most effective concentration as a repellent or insecticidal agent against Aedes aegypti.
