Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelajahi dampak komunikasi efektif dalam pendidikan anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan penelitian survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang penuh pengertian, empati, dan dukungan dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi anak dalam pembelajaran, serta memperkuat hubungan interpersonal antara anak-anak dan orang dewasa di sekitarnya. Pentingnya pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi bagi pendidik dan orang tua juga ditekankan untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung. Dengan demikian, artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa komunikasi efektif berperan penting dalam membentuk fondasi pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

This research underscores the importance of developing creative thinking skills from an early age, which are often not optimally stimulated in the classroom learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of an edutainment approach through natural material collage activities on improving creative thinking skills in children aged 5-6 years at Cahaya Kemulian Kindergarten, Sitiotio. The research approach used was quantitative with an experimental method through a One-Shot Case Study (Post-Test Only) design. The population and sample in this study were all 23 children aged 5-6 years at the school. Data collection was carried out through structured observations of four indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results of descriptive data analysis showed that the cumulative average post-test score of children's creative thinking skills after being given four treatment sessions reached 25.00, which is in the high category. The implementation of edutainment variations such as cheerful background music, creative storytelling, and mini-exhibitions proved effective in providing a sense of psychological security that stimulates children to explore natural materials in a unique way. The conclusion of the study shows that the edutainment approach in natural material collage activities has a significant influence on the creative thinking abilities of children aged 5-6 years.
