Abstract

The goalkeeper is a position in soccer where the player is allowed to use their hands to catch or deflect the ball, as long as it is within the penalty area. The goalkeeper’s role is crucial to the team, as they are responsible for preventing the ball from entering the goal, which is the main objective of the game. This research was conducted with the aim of improving the goalkeeper’s reaction time in handling match situations that often require quick and accurate decision-making. The method used in this study is a quantitative experimental approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research revealed that there was a significant improvement in the goalkeeper’s reaction time after modifying the training equipment used. At the pre-test stage, the goalkeeper recorded an average score of 29.50, while at the post-test stage, the average score increased to 54.33. This increase indicates that the modification of the training equipment has a significant effect on improving the goalkeeper’s reaction. This improvement in reaction ability is very important because it can improve goalkeepers’ performance in real matches, helping them make faster and more precise decisions in decisive situations, so the effectiveness of the training tool modification used in this study can be recognized as one of the important factors in goalkeeper skill development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of overhead passing skills on volleyball in seventh-grade students at Satap Salusimbuang Public Junior High School. This study was an experimental study. The subjects were 21 seventh-grade students at Satap Salusimbuang Public Junior High School. The data collection technique used was an overhead passing skill test. The results showed that the use of hanging balls influenced students' overhead passing skills in volleyball in seventh-grade students at Satap Salusimbuang Public Junior High School. Based on the Paired Sample T-test data, a p-value of 0.001 was obtained with an α value of 0.05. Thus, it is clear that the p value (0.001) < α (0.05), so H0 is rejected so it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' passing ability after using hanging ball media in class VII at SMP Negeri Satap Salusimbuang.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the fact that many futsal players at SMAN 4 Luwu still have inconsistent shooting accuracy. Therefore, this study focuses on target training aimed at improving the shooting accuracy of the futsal players at SMAN 4 Luwu. The researcher employed a quasi-experimental method. Data collection was carried out by administering pre-tests and post-tests. The population in this study consisted of 40 individuals, with a sample size of 20. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling and then divided into two groups: ten individuals trained using small goals, and ten using used tires. The research results show that the t-count value in experimental group 1 (used tires) is 0.035 and in experimental group 2 (small goals) is 0.017, both of which are higher than the 5% significance level (0.05), (0.035 > 0.05) & (0.017 > 0.05). Therefore, the accuracy of futsal goal shots by SMAN 4 Luwu players is influenced by training using small target goals and used tires. The mean score of experimental group 1 with small goals is higher than that of experimental group 2 with used tires (14.80 > 14.50). It can be concluded that for SMAN 4 Luwu futsal players, training with small goals is more effective than with used tires.
