Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of forward roll floor gymnastics of class XI IPA 3 students at State Senior High School 1 Banjarbaru, with only 17.14% completeness and an average final score of 70.28 in the pre-cycle condition. The purpose of the study is to improve the learning outcomes of forward roll floor gymnastics through the application of a cooperative learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in two cycles, with 35 students as research subjects consisting of 14 male students and 21 female students. Data collection techniques used tests and observation. Data analysis was conducted using comparative descriptive methods by comparing the results of the pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. The results of the study showed significant improvements in all assessment aspects. The average final score increased from 70.28 (pre-cycle) to 74.38 (Cycle I) and 85.48 (Cycle II). Learning completeness increased from 17.14% to 22.86% in Cycle I, and reached 88.57% in Cycle II, surpassing the success indicator of 80%. It was concluded that the cooperative learning model proved effective in improving students' floor gymnastics front roll learning outcomes.
