Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji Manuskrip Naskah Pidato Maharaja Imam Sambas Haji Muhammad Basiuni Imran dalam Pertemuan Ulama Se-Kalimantan Barat yang diadakan pada tahun 1948 di Pontianak. Dalam naskah tersebut beliau menyampaikan kondisi umat Islam pada saat itu yang masih terbelakang dalam ilmu pengetahuan. kemudian beliau memberikan beberapa dasar dan prinsip terhadap pembaharuan Pendidikan. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pendekatan Kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian yaitu kajian Pustaka (Library Researc). Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwasannya Maharaja Imam Sambas menyampaikan prinsip dan asas dalam Pendidikan terdapat 10 poin yang dalam diambil dari naskah tersebut. Secara khusus 10 point tersebut tidak seluruhnya membahas tentang pembaharuan Islam. Namun ada beberapa prinsip yang disampaikan beliau dalam naskah tersebut, seperti yang terdapat pada poin ke 2 yaitu “Agama Islam merupakan agama yang mudah” hal ini menjadi landasan terhadap pembaharuan karena dengan prinsip Islam agama yang mudah memiliki pemahaman bahwasannya Islam merupakan agama yang fleksibel dan tidak kaku oleh karena itu sesuatu usaha yang bertujuan untuk kemajuan agama Islam selama tidak bertentangan dengan sumber agama Islam diperbolehkan. Dalam alenia yang lain beliau menyampaikan bahwa umat Islam lebih mengetahui perkara dunia maka pembaharuan yang diusung oleh Maharaja Imam sangat relevan karena melihat dari tujuan pembaharuan tersebut yaitu kemaslahatan bagi umat dan agama Islam.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the role of the Miftahul Hidayah Islamic Boarding School in building cross-cultural solidarity in border areas. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that pesantren not only functions as an institution of religious teaching, but also as a strategic center for social reconstruction that encourages the creation of intercultural harmony. Islamic boarding schools create learning spaces that are responsive to social dynamics, develop a curriculum based on the values of fairness and openness, and involve students in various social, cultural, and religious activities with the community. The leadership of kiai and teachers plays an important role in internalizing the values of tolerance, peace, and inclusivity that make students agents of peace and social stability. These findings also identify the challenges and opportunities faced by Islamic boarding schools, especially in establishing cooperation across religions, customs, and social institutions. This research confirms that Islamic values can be a solid foundation for the formation of cross-cultural solidarity while strengthening social cohesion in border areas.

Abstract

Religious moderation is an important principle in maintaining harmony within Indonesia’s pluralistic society. Islamic higher education institutions, particularly through the Ma’had Al-Jami’ah system, play a strategic role in instilling these values among students. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Ta‘lim al-Afkar program on the understanding and attitudes of religious moderation among maha santri at Ma’had Al-Jami’ah IAIN Pontianak. The research employs a mixed-method approach with an integrative quantitative and qualitative design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews and observations. The results indicate that the level of understanding and attitudes toward religious moderation is in the very high category, with an average percentage of 87.96%. The tolerance indicator reached 91.4%, comprehensive understanding of moderation 92.2%, national commitment 89.8%, and accommodation of local traditions 87.5%, while the anti-violence indicator was in the high category at 78.9%. Qualitative findings reveal that the program not only enhances cognitive understanding but also fosters reflective awareness and practical readiness in applying moderate attitudes in both academic and social life

Abstract

The development of digital technology has given rise to a generation of digital natives who possess different learning characteristics compared to previous generations. This condition requires adjustments in teaching and learning practices, including the assessment of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Therefore, 21st-century skills encompassing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication have become essential competencies that need to be integrated into the PAI assessment system. This study aims to analyze and formulate a concept of PAI assessment based on 21st-century skills that is relevant to the characteristics of digital natives. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature study by examining books, journal articles, and relevant scientific documents.The results of the study indicate that valid PAI assessment for digital natives should be designed in an authentic, contextual, and technology-based manner, integrating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in a balanced way. Assessment should not only focus on the mastery of religious knowledge but also on students’ ability to internalize and implement Islamic values in their daily lives. These findings are expected to contribute conceptually to the development of an adaptive and responsive PAI assessment system in line with the demands of 21st-century education
