Abstract

The development of the tourism sector in North Buton Regency, especially in Kulisusu District, requires adequate infrastructure support, one of which is a representative accommodation facility. The design of this tourist hotel aims to provide lodging facilities that are comfortable, functional, and able to increase the attractiveness of regional tourism. A modern architectural approach is used to display the impression of a building that is simple, efficient, and in accordance with the needs of today's society without ignoring the context of the tropical environment and local potential. The design is designed with attention to aspects of open space, natural lighting, good air circulation, and integration with the surrounding landscape. It is hoped that the hotel will not only serve as a place to stay overnight, but also become an icon of modern architecture that supports economic growth and tourism in the North Buton region.

Abstract

Perkembangan kota Kendari sebagai pusat pendidikan dan pelatihan membutuhkan fasilitas yang mampu mendukung aktivitas belajar secara intensif dan berkesinambungan. Kehadiran Gedung Kendari Intensive Learning Center (KILC) diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah strategis dalam peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan dan pengembangan keterampilan. Perancangan gedung ini menggunakan pendekatan arsitektur modern yang menekankan pada prinsip fungsionalitas, kesederhanaan bentuk, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dan material kontemporer. Pendekatan tersebut diwujudkan melalui rancangan tata massa bangunan yang efisien, ruang-ruang belajar yang fleksibel, serta integrasi pencahayaan alami dan ventilasi silang untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang nyaman dan produktif. Selain itu, konsep modern ditampilkan melalui penggunaan bentuk geometris sederhana, fasad dengan permainan bidang dan material kaca, serta penerapan konsep hemat energi. Dengan demikian, Gedung KILC di Kota Kendari tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pusat pembelajaran, tetapi juga sebagai representasi perkembangan arsitektur modern yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat urban masa kini
