Abstract

Indonesian as a national language did not emerge in a vacuum. It is the product of a long historical process involving various linguistic and cultural influences, among which Arabic and Malay stand out prominently. This article investigates the impact of the Arabic-Malay linguistic nexus on the formation of religious terminology in modern Indonesian. Based on the premise that most Islamic religious terms used in contemporary Indonesian are derived from a blend of Arabic—the language of Islam—and Malay—the primary medium of Islamic dissemination in the archipelago—this study adopts a descriptive qualitative and historical-linguistic approach. It traces the origins, phonetic adaptation, morphological changes, and semantic evolution of religious vocabulary. The findings reveal that Arabic-Malay influence extends beyond lexical aspects, shaping the sociocultural function of the Indonesian language in religious discourse. This paper affirms that the Arabic-Malay linguistic legacy has significantly contributed to the legitimacy and authority of Indonesian in articulating Islamic teachings.

This study aims to improve the ability of students of SDN 7 Banda Aceh in mastering Arabic vocabulary through Maharah Istima', by developing animated video media based on the Cupcut application. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) research, with the ADDIE model which has 5 stages which include: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of this study are that animated videos can improve students' istima' skills in mastering vocabulary. This can be seen from the ease with which students understand the material. Initially, students were less able to pronounce vocabulary correctly and had difficulty remembering vocabulary, and after the researcher used this media, students easily remembered it. Abstract

This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-assisted science learning media based on the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of the study were 72 students from three elementary schools in Padang City, namely SDN 09 Korong Gadang, SDN 04 Pasar Ambacang, and MIN 3 Padang City. Data collection instruments included expert validation sheets, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test questions. The results of the study showed: the validity of the media was assessed as very valid by language experts (92%), material experts (97%), and media experts; the practicality of the media was very practical according to teacher (96%) and student (95.64%) assessments; The effectiveness of the media is proven by the increase in student learning outcomes with an average pre-test of 59.31 increasing to 92.11 in the post-test, with an N-Gain value of 0.81 in the high category. It is concluded that PBL-based AR learning media is feasible, practical, and effective for use in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students in the Science subject of the Five Senses material, in accordance with the demands of the Independent Curriculum.
