Abstract:This study aims to determine the effect of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning models on students' science process skills on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. The subjects in this study were students of class X at SMA Negeri 89 East Jakarta in the academic year 2013/2014. The research method applied was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling and divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The instruments used in this study were essay test instruments and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques were obtained using the "t" test. The results showed that the use of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning models had an influence on students' science process skills in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. Keywords: learning model of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE); Science process skills; Electrolyte and Non-electrolytes solution Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 89 Jakarta Timur tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan dibagi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes essay dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data diperoleh menggunakan uji “t”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.
