Abstract

Pendahuluan: Resin akrilik polimerisasi panas mudah untuk mengalami retak atau patah pada kondisi klinis tertentu. Hal tersebut diatasi dengan alternatif penambahan bahan penguat, salah satunya nanoselulosa serat bambu betung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan efek penambahan nanoselulosa serat bambu betung konsentrasi 0,5%, 0,75%, 1% pada bahan basis gigi tiruan resin akrilik polimerisasi panas terhadap kekuatan transversal. Metode: Rancangan penelitian ini adalah eksperimental laboratoris. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sampel bahan basis gigi tiruan resin akrilik polimerisasi panas (Huge, China) tanpa dan dengan penambahan nanoselulosa serat bambu betung konsentrasi 0,5%, 0,75%, dan 1%. Sebanyak 32 sampel berukuran 65×10×2,5 mm diuji dengan Universal Testing Machine untuk mengetahui nilai kekuatan transversal. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji Univariat untuk mengetahui nilai rata-rata dan standar deviasi, uji ANOVA satu arah untuk mengetahui pengaruh, dan uji post hoc LSD (Least Significant Difference) untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh. Hasil: Berdasarkan uji Univariat, nilai rata-rata dan standar deviasi kekuatan transversal pada kelompok kontrol adalah (66,02±2,141) MPa, kelompok konsentrasi 0,5% sebesar (84,07±3,156) MPa, kelompok 0,75% sebesar (89,69±5,354) MPa dan kelompok 1% sebesar (75,35±2,539) MPa. Uji Anova satu arah menunjukkan nilai signifikan dengan p=0,0001 (p<0,05). Uji post hoc LSD menunjukkan nilai signifikan dengan nilai p=0,0001 (p<0,05) dan p=0,003 (p<0,05). Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan efek penambahan nanoselulosa serat bambu betung konsentrasi 0,5%, 0,75%, dan 1% dalam meningkatkan kekuatan transversal bahan basis gigi tiruan resin akrilik polimerisasi panas.Transverse strength of heat-cured acrylic resin with various concentrations of nanocellulose from Betung bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper) fiber: an experimental studyIntroduction: Heat-cured acrylic resin is prone to cracking or breaking under certain clinical conditions. This issue can be addressed by adding alternative reinforcing materials, such as nanocellulose derived from Betung bamboo fibers (Dendrocalamus asper). This study aimed to analyze the effect of adding Betung bamboo fiber nanocellulose at different concentrations on the transverse strength of heat-cured acrylic resin denture base material. Methods: The research design was an experimental laboratory study. The study was conducted on samples of heat cured acrylic resin denture base ma0terial (Huge, China) both without and with Betung bamboo fiber nanocellulose at concentrations of 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1%. A total of 32 samples, each measuring 65×10×2.5 mm, were tested using a Universal Testing Machine to determine the transverse strength. The research data were analyzed using a univariate analysis to determine the mean values and standard deviations, one-way ANOVA test to determine the effect, and a post hoc LSD (Least Significant Difference) test to identify the differences between groups. Results: Based on Univariate analysis, the average transverse strength and its standard deviation for the control group were 66.02±2.141 MPa, for the 0.5% group were 84.07±3.156 MPa, for the 0.75% group were 89.69±5.354, and for the 1% group were 75.35±2.539 MPa. The one-way ANOVA test showed a statistically significant difference with p-value = 0.0001 (p < 0.05). The post hoc LSD test also showed significant results with p-value = 0.0001 (p < 0.05) and p-value = 0.003 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There was a significant effect of adding Betung bamboo fiber nanocellulose at concentrations of 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1% on increasing the transverse strength of heat-cured acrylic resin denture base material.
