Abstract

Celina Fardiani Onggong, 2025 The Effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (Pjbl) in Informatics on the Learning Outcomes of Grade VII Students at Citra Bangsa Christian Junior High School, Kupang. Informatics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Citra Bangsa University, Kupang. Supervisors: Ms. Diana Y.A. Fallo, S.Kom., M.T. and Ms. Dr. Maria M.B. Sogen, S.Kom., M.Pd. This study focuses on the effectiveness of implementing a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Informatics on the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at Citra Bangsa Christian Middle School, Kupang. The objectives of the study were to determine how PjBL is applied to structured data and data processing applications, assess its effectiveness on learning outcomes, and demonstrate whether this model can improve student achievement. The study used a quantitative approach with a True Experimental Design. Data collection was conducted through two stages: a pretest before the lesson and a posttest after the lesson. The pretest was used to measure students' initial abilities, while the posttest measured improvement after the PjBL iimplementation. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. The average pretest score for the experimental class was 69.11, increasing to 90.16 in the posttest. Meanwhile, the control class achieved an average pretest score of 52.28 and a posttest score of 83.83. Furthermore, questionnaire results from 37 students showed a percentage of 38.63%. These findings confirm that PjBL is effective in improving learning outcomes, as demonstrated by the significant difference between the experimental and control classes.

Abstract

Bonevasius Mario Malo, 2025. Evaluation of the Digital Literacy Skills of Citra Bangsa Kupang Christian Junior High School Students in Differentiating Factual Information and Hoaxes on Social Media. Informatics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Citra Bangsa Kupang University. Supervisors: Ms. Diana Y.A. Fallo, S.Kom., M.T. and Mr. Yonly A. Benufinit, S.Kom., M.T. This study aims to assess the digital literacy skills of Citra Bangsa Kupang Christian Junior High School students in differentiating factual information from hoaxes on social media and identify the factors influencing this. This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through tests (pre-test and post-test) and questionnaires. The pre-test was conducted before the digital literacy socialization activity to measure students' initial abilities, while the post-test was administered after the socialization to determine their improvement. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in students' digital literacy skills. The average pre-test score of 74.50 increased to 92.63 in the post-test. Furthermore, the questionnaire results from 40 respondents yielded an average percentage of 71.81%. These findings indicate that digital literacy socialization has a positive effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in assessing and verifying information on social media. Therefore, digital literacy socialization activities play a crucial role in developing students who are intelligent, critical, and responsible in their use of social media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the integration of dialogic learning and immersive learning within a Project Based Learning (PjBL) framework, using illustrated Jataka stories from the Borobudur Temple reliefs, can improve creativity, literacy skills, and understanding of moral values of elementary school students. The background of this study lies in the low level of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) among Indonesian students and the need for a contextual and adaptive learning approach to the challenges of the 21st century. Jataka reliefs were chosen as a learning resource rich in moral values and narrative visuals, so that they are relevant to the characteristics of students at the concrete operational stage. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design involving Phase B students at Kanisius Wanurejo Borobudur Elementary School. Data collection techniques included participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and student reflection journals. Data analysis followed the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the integration of dialogic learning, immersive learning, and PjBL provides students with opportunities to think critically, express ideas, collaborate, and develop deeper moral understanding. The use of illustrated stories has been shown to be effective in enhancing imagination, improving literacy skills, and connecting concepts to real-life experiences. These findings confirm that local culture-based learning through the Jataka narrative project is an innovative and effective approach to fostering creativity, literacy, and character development in elementary school students.
