Abstract

Islamic politics is viewed as a means to realize social welfare by positioning political authority as a divine trust (amānah ilāhiyyah), rather than merely an arena for competing over power and positions. Politics is understood as an effort to manage the affairs of the ummah with justice, dignity, and a strong orientation toward public interest (maṣlaḥah). Social welfare in Islam encompasses not only material aspects but also spiritual, moral, social, and cultural dimensions, in line with the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, which emphasize the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property. Using library research and content analysis methods, this study demonstrates that the fundamental principles of Islamic politics—such as justice (‘adl), consultation (shūrā), equality (al-musāwah), trustworthiness (amānah), responsibility (mas’ūliyyah), and enjoining good and forbidding evil (amr bi al-ma‘rūf wa nahy ‘an al-munkar)—as well as socio-economic instruments like zakāt, infāq, ṣadaqah, waqf, the prohibition of usury (ribā), natural resource management, independent judiciary, and educational policies, play significant roles in reducing poverty and structural inequality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the nature of Science, Technology, and Arts (IPTEKS) from an Islamic perspective, including its definition, the interrelationship among its components, as well as its roles and contributions to human life. In Islamic thought, IPTEKS is not merely understood as an instrument for worldly advancement but also as a means of drawing closer to Allah SWT. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating spiritual values with the development of science and technology so that progress does not contradict the moral, ethical, and environmental sustainability principles taught in Islam. The method used in this research is library research, analyzing various relevant national and international literature sources, including books, scientific articles, journals, and digital references. The findings indicate that Islam strongly encourages its followers to seek knowledge, advance technology, and produce artistic works, as long as these efforts bring benefit, do not harm the environment, and remain within the framework of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of a value-based learning model (VLB) in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) course in the PGSD A1 class. This model is based on Value Education Theory which emphasizes the internalization of moral and spiritual values in the learning process. Through reflective discussion methods and case analysis of Islamic values, this study seeks to develop students' understanding of religious and social values. The research subjects were 47 PGSD A1 class students, consisting of 44 Muslim female students, 1 non-Muslim female student, and 2 Muslim male students. The learning outcomes show that the value-based approach is effective in fostering religious, tolerant, and reflective attitudes towards value diversity in the classroom environment.
