Abstract

This study explores the integration of Microsoft Teams and its Reflect feature as an innovative learning medium in informatics education, focusing on how real-time emotion visualization can enhance understanding of students' learning readiness. While digital platforms are widely used for content delivery and collaboration, there remains a significant gap in leveraging real-time affective data to adaptively respond to students' emotional states during online learning. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research employed participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with 30 Year 11 students and an informatics teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Boyolangu. Findings indicate that emotion visualization via Reflect enables teachers to dynamically adjust instructional strategies based on students' expressed emotional states, thereby increasing engagement, motivation, and perceived learning readiness. This study contributes to the emerging field of affective-aware digital learning environments and underscores the pedagogical value of integrating emotional feedback into technology-enhanced instruction. For future implementation, we recommend broader adoption, teacher training in affective pedagogy, and the exploration of automated emotion-detection technologies to further personalize and responsive learning experiences.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mendorong institusi pendidikan untuk meningkatkan eksistensinya melalui media digital. Promosi digital menjadi strategi penting dalam membangun citra dan daya tarik sekolah, terutama di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Artikel ini membahas pentingnya optimalisasi promosi digital sebagai media branding sekolah di SMK Negeri 1 Bandung Tulungagung sebagai upaya memperkuat citra sekolah, menjangkau masyarakat lebih luas, serta meningkatkan minat peserta didik baru. Artikel ini merupakan tinjauan konseptual yang dapat dijadikan referensi dalam penyusunan strategi promosi digital oleh Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Melalui pendekatan berbasis konten digital, pemanfaatan media sosial, dan keterlibatan aktif warga sekolah, branding sekolah dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning (PJBL) pada proyek aplikasi Excel dalam mata pelajaran Informatika di SMKN 1 Tulungagung tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini melibatkan 36 siswa dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan observasi, persentase siswa dengan motivasi tinggi meningkat dari 2,78% pada pra-siklus menjadi 22,22% pada Siklus I, dan mencapai 47,22% pada Siklus II. Data angket juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu dari 5,55% pada pra-siklus menjadi 25,00% pada Siklus I, dan 44,44% pada Siklus II. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran PJBL efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada proyek aplikasi Excel.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of digital skills among graduates of the Office Automation and Governance (OTKP) vocational program at SMK Negeri 1 Bandung with the needs of the labor market in the digital era. The research employed a qualitative case study approach involving productive teachers, graduates, and industry representatives as key informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The results indicate that graduates possess strong basic digital skills such as office software operation and online communication, but exhibit limited competence in virtual collaboration, cloud-based data management, and digital security. The skill gap is influenced by curriculum limitations, insufficient teacher training, and inadequate digital facilities. The study highlights the importance of strengthening the link and match between vocational schools and industries, as well as integrating adaptive digital skills into vocational curricula. The implication of this study emphasizes the need for developing a digital project-based learning model to enhance graduates’ employability and adaptability in the digital transformation era.
