Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using Canva-based video learning media on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a two-group pretest and posttest research design. The population in this study were all students of class XII Science consisting of 3 classes. The research samples used were 2 classes (Class XII IPA-2 and XII IPA-3) with 30 students in each class. In class XII IPA-3 was an experimental class using Canva-based learning video media and in class XII-2 as a control class without using Canva-based learning video media. After the learning was completed, a posttest was obtained with an average result for the experimental class of 80.5 and the control class of 76.4. The t-test results obtained t_count (3.774)> t_table (2.001). H_a is accepted, thus there is a positive and significant influence in the use of Canva-based video learning media on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman.

Abstract

AbstractBased on the problems of students who frequently make mistakes when solving mathematical problems, especially when it comes to building materials of curved side spaces, this study will identify the series of errors that cause students to make errors when resolving the mathematics of building curved sides spaces. The study involved 28 students in the th grade. A qualitative descriptive approach is used in this study. The results of the descriptive research showed that students answered both questions at the reading stages correctly (with a percentage of 0% on each question), as well as the level of understanding and transformation (with percentages of 9.52%, and 4.76%, respectively, on questions No. 1 and 2), the process skill level, which has a percent of 14.28% and 19.04%, and the final step, that is, the coding of the final answer, which contributes to 19,04% of both questions. The findings of the study led to the conclusion that, according to Newman's approach, the most common errors occurred at the process skill stage and Endcoding Errors (19.04%).Keywords: Error analysis, watson criteria, problem solving, curved side room, students.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service activity aimed to improve elementary school students' numeracy skills by using the Jarilipan method. This activity was carried out at SDN 010246 Banjar with target of 20 students. The Jarilipan method is applied as an innovative learning approach that integrates visual, interactive and game elements to enrich students' learning experiences in understanding mathematical concepts, especially counting operations. The activity implementation method consisted of 3 stages, namely the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' numeracy skills after implementing the Jarilipan method. This makes a positive contribution to elementary school students' understanding and numeracy skills. Therefore, the Jarilipan method is an effective and interesting alternative in learning mathematics at the elementary level. It is hoped that the implications of this research will be a guide for teachers and education stakeholders in developing innovative learning strategies to improve student learning outcomes.
