Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the implementation of a mobile-based management information system (MIS) can improve employee productivity in organizations. The rapid development of information technology encourages organizations to adapt to work systems that are more flexible, efficient, and responsive to operational needs. Mobile-based MIS enables real-time data access, faster communication between employees, and a more efficient reporting process compared to conventional methods. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study of a service company in Indonesia that has implemented a mobile-based MIS for more than a year. The results show that this system not only facilitates coordination between units but also supports faster and more accurate decision-making, thereby improving employee performance. In addition, mobile-based MIS helps organizations optimize workflows, reduce human error, and improve overall operational effectiveness. These findings confirm that the use of mobile-based information technology has a positive contribution to organizational productivity and success in the digital era.

Abstract

Digital transformation not only enables businesses to improve operational efficiency but also boosts productivity through process optimization and the use of data-driven technologies. By implementing innovative information systems, such as e-commerce, fintech, big data, and artificial intelligence, organizations are able to increase the added value of products and services and strengthen their competitive position in the global market. Furthermore, digitalization enables faster, more informed decision-making, increases operational transparency, and reduces costs. This study aims to explore how digitalization and information systems innovation contribute to accelerating contemporary economic growth, with a particular focus on emerging challenges in developing countries. Some of the issues identified include technological infrastructure readiness, digital access inequality, cybersecurity, and risk management related to the adoption of new technologies. The results show that organizations that are able to effectively integrate information systems innovation with their business strategies will gain a significant competitive advantage, while those that fail to adapt risk being left behind in global competition. The study concludes that digitalization is not simply a technical tool but also a strategic factor that drives economic growth, innovation, and efficiency, while also requiring careful planning to address the inherent risks and challenges. This understanding is important for designing business policies and strategies that can optimally utilize modern technological opportunities.

Abstract

The utilization of Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) has increasingly become a strategic imperative for strengthening public sector financial accountability in an era characterized by escalating demands for transparency, efficiency, and responsibility. FMIS plays a pivotal role in improving accountability by generating accurate, real-time, and verifiable financial information that supports evidence-based decision-making and reduces opportunities for manipulation or misreporting. Beyond data accuracy, FMIS strengthens internal control mechanisms, enhances audit trails, and allows greater public oversight through accessible and standardized reporting features. However, the effectiveness of FMIS implementation is not solely determined by the technology itself. It is significantly influenced by supporting factors such as adequate technological infrastructure, the competence and adaptability of human resources, institutional readiness, and coherence between FMIS workflows and existing financial policies and procedures. Findings indicate that in the absence of comprehensive integration between technology, regulatory reforms, and an accountability-oriented organizational culture, FMIS risks function merely as an administrative formality with limited substantive governance impact. To maximize its transformative potential, FMIS implementation must be supported by procedural simplification, continuous capacity building, interoperability across government systems, and strong political commitment. When these elements are harmonized, FMIS can serve as an effective foundation for building a financial governance ecosystem that is genuinely transparent, accountable, and aligned with the public interest.
