Abstract

The role of teachers in instilling noble character in the digital age is an important aspect in shaping the character of students amid rapid technological developments. This study aims to describe how teachers play a role in instilling moral and spiritual values in an educational environment that has been influenced by digital advances. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study technique that refers to various sources such as journals, books, and current scientific articles. The results of the study show that teachers have a central role as role models, mentors, and guides so that students are able to use technology positively. Teachers are also expected to be able to integrate moral values through character-based learning, the use of educational digital media, and collaboration with parents in supervising their children's morals. These findings confirm that the effectiveness of instilling noble character is greatly influenced by teachers' ability to balance technological aspects with ethical and spiritual values. Therefore, teachers play a role not only as educators but also as moral role models who shape the character of the digital generation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of lecture and discussion methods in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning in schools. The approach used is library research by reviewing various literature, journals, and previous research results relevant to the topic. The results of the study show that the lecture method is still one of the most effective strategies for delivering conceptual religious material, as it helps teachers explain Islamic values systematically. However, learning that only uses the lecture method tends to be one-way and does not involve student participation. Therefore, the application of the discussion method is an important complement to foster participation, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of IRE material. The combination of these two methods is considered capable of creating an interactive learning atmosphere, increasing motivation, and strengthening students' understanding of spiritual and moral values. Thus, the balanced application of the lecture and discussion methods can increase the effectiveness of PAI learning in schools.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap dunia pendidikan, termasuk dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Perubahan ini menuntut adanya integrasi antara pemanfaatan teknologi digital dengan upaya penguatan nilai-nilai karakter Islami pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pembelajaran PAI berbasis teknologi digital dalam memperkuat karakter Islami, mengidentifikasi strategi yang dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, serta menganalisis berbagai tantangan dan solusi dalam implementasinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur (library research), yang bersumber dari jurnal ilmiah, buku, serta publikasi akademik yang relevan dengan pembelajaran PAI, pendidikan karakter, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi digital dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana yang efektif dalam mendukung internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter Islami melalui berbagai media pembelajaran, seperti video edukatif, platform pembelajaran daring, dan aplikasi interaktif. Strategi penguatan karakter Islami dapat dilakukan melalui integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran digital, keteladanan guru dalam etika bermedia, penguatan literasi digital berbasis nilai Islami, serta kerja sama antara sekolah dan orang tua. Namun demikian, implementasi pembelajaran PAI berbasis teknologi digital masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala, antara lain rendahnya literasi digital, potensi distraksi dari penggunaan media digital, serta keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi di sebagian lembaga pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya peningkatan kompetensi digital guru, penguatan pengawasan dalam penggunaan teknologi, serta kolaborasi berbagai pihak agar pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran PAI dapat berjalan secara optimal dalam membentuk karakter Islami peserta didik di era digital.
