ABSTRACT The issue of waste management in elementary schools remains a major concern, particularly due to the low level of awareness among students regarding proper waste sorting. Based on the results of the observation, it was found that students did not yet know the difference between organic and inorganic waste, and still mixed various types of waste in one place. This reflects a lack of basic understanding among students regarding the importance of waste sorting for maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability. The objective of this activity is to enhance students' awareness of waste sorting through an easy-to-understand learning approach. The activity was conducted at SDN Panyaweuyan and involved 177 students from grades 1 to 6. The methods used included initial observation, presenting material through simple socialization, educational games, quizzes, and placing labels on trash bins and attractive educational posters around the school environment. To observe changes in students' attitudes before and after the activity, measurements were taken using pre-tests and post-tests with the Littering Attitude Scale (LAS) questionnaire, which had been adapted to their age. This measurement aims to determine how much students' understanding and attitudes toward waste sorting have developed after the activity was carried out. To see how successful the waste sorting activity was in increasing students' awareness, the Abdimas implementers compared the results of the pre-test and post-test that had been conducted previously. The results indicate that the activity successfully improved students' understanding and attitudes toward waste sorting. Overall, the activity was effective in fostering the habit of sorting waste from an early age and instilling a sense of environmental responsibility among elementary school students. The activity helped create a cleaner school environment and consistently nurtured students' concern for the environment. ABSTRAK Permasalahan sampah di lingkungan sekolah dasar masih menjadi perhatian utama, terutama karena rendahnya kesadaran siswa dalam memilah sampah sesuai jenisnya. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, ditemukan bahwa siswa belum mengetahui perbedaan antara sampah organik dan anorganik, serta masih mencampurkan berbagai jenis sampah dalam satu tempat. Hal ini mencerminkan kurangnya pemahaman dasar siswa mengenai pentingnya pemilahan sampah untuk menjaga kebersihan dan kelestarian lingkungan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli siswa terhadap pemilahan sampah melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang mudah dipahami. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SDN Panyaweuyan dan melibatkan sebanyak 177 siswa dari kelas 1 hingga kelas 6. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi awal, penyampaian materi melalui sosialisasi yang sederhana, permainan edukatif, kuis, serta pemasangan label pada tempat sampah dan poster edukasi yang menarik di sekitar lingkungan sekolah. Untuk melihat perubahan sikap siswa sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan, dilakukan pengukuran menggunakan pre-test dan post-test dengan kuesioner Littering Attitude Scale (LAS) yang telah disesuaikan dengan usia mereka. Pengukuran ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh pemahaman dan sikap siswa terhadap pemilahan sampah dapat berkembang setelah kegiatan dilakukan. Untuk melihat sejauh mana kegiatan pemilahan sampah berhasil meningkatkan kepedulian siswa, pelaksana Abdimas membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan sikap peduli siswa terhadap pemilahan sampah. Secara umum, kegiatan ini berhasil dalam membentuk kebiasaan memilah sampah sejak dini serta menanamkan rasa tanggung jawab lingkungan di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar. Kegiatan ini membantu menciptakan suasana sekolah yang lebih bersih dan menumbuhkan kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan secara konsisten.
