Abstract

This research describes the value of character education contained in the cartoon film Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge on The Run Full Movie on YouTube. Apart from that, this research aims to complete the final assignment in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program, Department of Language and Arts Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Batanghari University, Jambi. This research is in the form of qualitative descriptive research. Descriptive research is to describe the research objectives. The qualitative approach is used as a technique to describe data analysis not in the form of numbers but in the form of words. The results of this research illustrate the value of character education which consists of 5 aspects. The value aspect of character education is honesty, 32 quotation data were found, 12 quotation data were found to be friendly, 5 quotation data were found for love of peace, 4 quotation data were found for social care and 6 quotation data were found for responsibility. From the results of this research, it was found that the most dominant data was honest attitude. Honesty is a character education value that must be inherent in humans.

Abstract

This study examines language errors found in outdoor media. The aim of this research is to describe the forms of errors in writing the prefix “di-”, the use of capital letters, punctuation errors, errors in the use of affixes, and the use of loanwords found in outdoor media in the economic sector in Jambi City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data sources in the form of outdoor media such as banners, billboards, and business name boards located in Pasar Jambi District, Jambi City, which were collected through observation and documentation techniques during September–October 2025. The results of this study show that errors in writing the prefix “di-” were found once out of the total number of errors. Errors in the use of capital letters reached 73 cases, indicating a high frequency. Punctuation errors were the most dominant, totaling 72 cases. Errors in the use of affixes were recorded 5 times out of the total errors. Meanwhile, errors in the use of loanwords were found 10 times, indicating that there is still a lack of accuracy in adopting foreign words.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of Javanese code mixing into Indonesian in the film Budi Pekerti by Wregas Bhanuetja. The analysis of this study will answer the research questions and objectives of the study, namely, to describe the form of code mixing which includes, word form, phrase form and clause form. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with listening and note-taking techniques to obtain data. The research data source is the dialogue of the characters in the film, while the research data is in the form of speech containing Javanese code mixing into Indonesian. The results of the study show that the form of code mixing that appears in the film includes 65 dialogue excerpts in total with 46 word form excerpts, 13 phrase form excerpts and 6 clause form excerpts with the dominant frequency in the use of words. This finding indicates that code mixing is used as a communication strategy that reflects the socio-cultural background of the characters and at the same time strengthens the value of locality in the film. Thus, this study is expected to contribute to sociolinguistic studies, especially in understanding the practice of code mixing in audio-visual media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of hablumminallah in the novel Assalamualaikum Baitullah by Asma Nadia. The aspects of hablumminallah analyzed include repentance, patience, gratitude, tawakal (trust), sincerity, and raja' (relief). This novel tells the story of characters who face life's trials and find peace through closeness to Allah SWT, thus becoming a reflection of religious values for readers. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis techniques. The research data were obtained from quotations in the novel that show the representation of six aspects of hablumminallah. The data were classified based on the indicators of each aspect and analyzed in depth to find the religious meaning contained therein. The results show that this novel represents hublumminallah as a whole through the spiritual journey of its characters, especially in facing sadness, despair, until finally finding hope by surrendering to Allah. These values inspire readers to strengthen their faith, be sincere, patient, and tawakal in facing life's trials. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of religious literary studies and novel appreciation, while practically, this research is expected to enrich character education based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sanguine personality traits of the main character in the novel 2nd Miracle In Cell No. 7 by Goebahan R and Alfian N. Budiarto. The analysis addresses the research question by describing the sanguine personality traits, specifically the aspects of warmth, friendliness, and cheerfulness. The study illustrates how the main character's sanguine personality creates a realistic impression and fosters strong emotional connections within the literary work. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed, allowing the researcher to describe the sanguine personality traits based on the three examined aspects. Data collection was conducted using the "read-and-note" technique, while data analysis utilized content analysis. This approach enabled the researcher to depict how the main character manifests warmth, friendliness, and cheerfulness throughout the novel. The results indicate that the main character's sanguine personality is reflected through these three aspects, creating a realistic impression within the story. This is evidenced by the excerpts identified for each aspect: 130 excerpts for warmth, 43 for friendliness, and 72 for cheerfulness, resulting in a total of 245 excerpts analyzed in the study.
