Abstract

User interface (UI) design are vital elements in the mobile application development process to ensure user comfort,  ease of use, and satisfaction. Various approaches to UI design have been tested in various mobile application research  and development projects, but there has been no comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness and trends in the  application of these methods. This study aims to evaluate various UI design methods applied in mobile application  development through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The SLR process was carried out by following  the steps of identifying, selecting, and analyzing scientific publications published within a certain time frame. The  results of this study reveal that the most commonly used methods are User Centered Design (UCD) and Design  Thinking. Each method has advantages and limitations related to the effectiveness of the design process, the level of  user participation, and its impact on the quality of the user experience. In addition, there has been an observed trend  of increasing use of collaborative and iterative methods in recent years. These findings can be used as a guide for  researchers and mobile application developers in choosing the UI approach that best suits the needs of their project.

Abstract

Beberapa institusi pendidikan masih melakukan pengelolaan akademik secara manual, seperti pencatatan nilai, absensi siswa, serta penyusunan laporan akademik. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan proses administrasi menjadi kurang efisien, meningkatkan risiko kesalahan pencatatan, serta menimbulkan fragmentasi data dan ketidakkonsistenan informasi antar bagian. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi dasar penelitian yang dilakukan pada PT. Teknologi Informatika Solusindo untuk mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) berbasis web yang ditujukkan kepada staf administrasi, guru, dan siswa dalam mengelola serta mengakses informasi akademik secara terintegrasi dan real time. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan metode prototype karena mampu mendukung proses pengembangan secara iteratif melalui interaksi dan umpan balik pengguna selama tahap perancangan dan implementasi. Fitur yang dikembangkan meliputi pengelolaan data siswa, guru, mata pelajaran, absensi, nilai, jadwal pembelajaran, serta penyajian laporan akademik dalam satu sistem terpadu. Kualitas perangkat lunak kemudian dievaluasi menggunakan standar ISO/IEC 25010 yang mencakup karakteristik functional suitability, reliability, performance efficiency, usability, security, compatibility, maintainability, dan portability. Hasil evaluasi sistem memperoleh nilai persentase keseluruhan sebesar 81,25% dengan predikat Sangat Baik. Aspek functional suitability dan performance efficiency memperoleh nilai 84%, usability sebesar 82%, security, compatibility, dan portability masing masing memperoleh 83%, sedangkan reliability memperoleh 79% dan maintainability memperoleh 72%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kebutuhan fungsional serta memiliki kualitas yang baik dalam mendukung pengelolaan informasi akademik secara efektif, terintegrasi, dan lebih efisien.
