Abstract

The implementation of the Cultural Carnival at the 2022 G20 Culture Ministers Meeting Series was carried out by taking values from the Jataka of the Borobudur Temple. Not from the implementation of the Cultural Carnival using 20 Jataka reliefs by combining dances, costumes, props, and ogoh-ogoh to be performed. Jataka reliefs is a medium to introduce and instill the value of Jataka reliefs in everyday life. This study uses an approach of processing research data in a descriptive way to explain how to instill the value of the temple's jataka reliefs in implementing the G20 Cultural Carnival. Implementing the CMM G20 Cultural Carnival can be carried out well by presenting performances from 20 villages in Borobudur District using performances in the Cultural Carnival. The results of this study explain the planting of values from the Jataka Reliefs of Borobudur Temple in implementing the production of the Cultural Carnival. This activity gains a positive perspective from character by developing the abilities of local communities and increasing creativity so that it becomes a new type of art that instills value from the Jataka reliefs of Borobudur Temple. The values depicted from each of the fable reliefs of Borobudur Temple are expected to become cultural icons of the community in welcoming tourists visiting Borobudur Temple, Central Java, Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan platform digital arsip musik Batak sebagai inovasi strategis dalam pengelolaan konvensi dan acara berbasis budaya. Musik Batak dipilih karena memiliki nilai historis sekaligus potensi sebagai diferensiasi acara, namun sebagian besar arsipnya masih tersebar dan belum terdigitalisasi sehingga sulit diakses oleh penyelenggara acara maupun masyarakat. Melalui pendekatan Research and Development (R&D), penelitian ini melaksanakan eksplorasi lapangan, menghimpun 30 arsip musik dari kolektor, musisi, dan pelaku budaya di Medan, Samosir, dan Tanah Karo, serta mendigitalisasi 18 arsip dengan standar audio dan metadata yang terstruktur. Data dianalisis secara tematik untuk memastikan relevansi budaya sekaligus kebutuhan industri MICE. Hasilnya berupa prototipe platform digital yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai dokumentasi, tetapi juga sebagai sarana komunikasi, rekomendasi musik, dan media pembelajaran. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah menghadirkan model integrasi arsip musik tradisional ke dalam ekosistem ekonomi kreatif melalui event management, yang memperkuat identitas budaya, memperluas akses legal, serta membuka peluang kolaborasi lintas aktor antara musisi, penyelenggara acara, dan akademisi.

Abstract

The Karo Regency Fruit and Flower Festival is an annual event held in Karo Regency. This festival is rooted in local traditions such as thanksgiving for fertile soil and abundant harvests. This study aims to determine tourist perceptions of attractions, accessibility, and amenities at the Fruit and Flower Festival. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative. In this study, the data source is domestic tourists who have visited the Fruit and Flower Festival one or more times. The number of respondents in this study was 124 respondents. Based on Descriptive Statistical Analysis, tourist perceptions of Attractions, Accessibility, and Amenities at the Karo Regency Fruit and Flower Festival are generally classified as very good, when associated with the range of interpretation of the average score on a Likert scale of 1–5. Attractions and Accessibility received consistent ratings from tourists, indicating that the attractiveness of the festival and ease of access to the location were considered satisfactory and were the main factors in shaping their experience. Meanwhile, tourist perceptions of Amenities were also classified as very good, but showed slightly higher variations, indicating differences in individual experiences regarding comfort, supporting facilities, and additional services during the festival.
