Abstract

Fever spasms are one of the emergency conditions that often occur in children and can cause anxiety in parents. Parents' attitudes play a very important role in providing early treatment of febrile seizures and preventing complications in children. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of health education on the attitude of parents in the early treatment of febrile seizures in children in the children's room of Toto Kabila Hospital. The type of quantitative research uses a pre experiment design with one group pre test-post test. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach. The study population was parents who had children aged 1-5 years in the Children's Room of Toto Kabila Hospital as many as 96 people, and a sample of 49 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores with (p-value = 0.000 < ? = 0.05). In conclusion, there is an influence of health education on the attitude of parents in the early handling of febrile seizures in children in the Children's Room of Toto Kabila Hospital. For health workers, it is expected to develop a routine health education program or brief counseling for each service related to signs/symptoms and early treatment of febrile seizures.

Abstract

Menarche merupakan menstruasi pertama yang biasa terjadi pada masa awal remaja ditengah masa pubertas sebelum memasuki masa reproduksi. Menarche pada remaja putri biasanya terjadi dalam rentan usia 10-16 tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan kecemasan dengan kesiapan menghadapi menarche pada siswi di MTS Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo.Metode penelitian survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penitian ini merupakan siswi kelas 7 yang telah mengalami menstruasi. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 147 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data di analisis menggunakan regresi logistik biner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan ada pengetahuan dengan kesiapan menghadapi menarche pada siswi (p-value=0,006 < ? = 0,05) serta ada hubungan antara kecemasan dengan kesiapan menghadapi menarche pada siswi (p-value=0,000 < ? = 0,05). Nilai R Square 0,495 dimana pengetahuan dan kecemasan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 49,5% terhadap kesiapan siswi dalam menghadapi menarche. Dan sisanya 50,5% dipengaruhi oleh variable lain yang tidak teliti. Kesimpulan, variabel pengetahuan dan kecemasan ada hubungan dengan variabel kesiapan menghadapi menarche pada siswi MTS Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi pihak sekolah dalam meningkatkan edukasi tentang menarche pada remaja putri untuk mengurangi kecemasan dan meningkatkan kesiapan siswi menghadapi menarche.

Abstract

The participation of husbands in family planning programs in Indonesia is still relatively low, which is influenced by several factors, including the socio-cultural environment and family support. It is not easy for the public to accept that men actively participate in family planning programs for various reasons. Cultural barriers are still dominant to male contraception. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the socio-cultural environment and family support with the participation of the husband as a family planning acceptor in Tinelo Village. Types of analytical survey research with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling was done using purposive sampling techniques. The research population of all couples of childbearing age in Tinelo Village, Tilango District amounted to 359 with a sample of 189 respondents. The data was analyzed with the chi-square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between the socio-cultural environment and the participation of the husband as a family planning acceptor (p-value = 0.00 < ? = 0.05) and there was a relationship between family support and the participation of the husband as a family planning acceptor (p-value = 0.00 < ? = 0.05). In conclusion, the variables of socio-cultural environment and family support are related to the variables of the husband's participation in becoming a family planning acceptor in Tinelo Village, Tilango District. It is hoped that this research will be an input to the Health Center and the Family Planning Extension Center in an effort to improve health services, especially in family planning services for husbands.
