Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji manajemen kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu lulusan sebagai bagian dari strategi peningkatan kualitas pendidikan menengah. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus, penelitian dilakukan di SMP IT Al-Istiqomah dan SMP Karya Pembangunan 2 Cipongkor, melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan sebagai subjek aktif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan manajemen kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang mencakup perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi (POAC) telah dilaksanakan secara cukup terstruktur dan kolaboratif, meskipun belum sepenuhnya optimal pada aspek kemitraan eksternal, penempatan SDM, supervisi guru, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Kendala utama yang dihadapi kepala sekolah meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya, rendahnya dukungan stakeholder eksternal, resistensi terhadap perubahan, serta komunikasi internal yang belum efektif. Sebagai solusi, kepala sekolah perlu meningkatkan kompetensi manajerial, mendorong pengembangan profesional guru, menyusun program-program inovatif, mengoptimalkan sarana prasarana, serta memperkuat kolaborasi dengan orang tua dan komunitas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang adaptif, partisipatif, dan berbasis refleksi dapat menjadi pengungkit utama dalam peningkatan mutu lulusan secara berkelanjutan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kapasitas kepemimpinan dalam kerangka manajemen berbasis sekolah untuk mewujudkan pendidikan menengah yang unggul dan relevan dengan tantangan zaman.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the performance of teachers who have not met expectations not only in delivering subjects, but also in shaping students with good personalities and skills. One way to improve teacher performance is through effective principal leadership. This study aims to describe and analyze the transformational leadership of principals in improving teacher performance at SDN Mekarjaya and SDN Cinerang 2. The focus of this study is on four main indicators of transformational leadership: charisma, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention. This research is based on the transformational leadership theory proposed by Bass and Avolio. Transformational leadership focuses on developing the potential of subordinates through an inspiring and motivating approach. Principals who implement this leadership style are believed to create a conducive work environment, inspire teachers to improve their performance, and support their professional development. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with principals and teachers, and document review relevant to teacher performance. The results of the study indicate that the transformational leadership of the principal in both locations successfully improved teacher performance. Principals who adopted this leadership style were able to create an environment that supported creativity, innovation, and cooperation among teachers. Teachers felt more motivated and received support in the development of learning and evaluation. Effective communication and individual attention from the principal also contributed significantly to improving teacher performance. The transformational leadership of the principal had a significant influence on improving teacher performance. The conclusion of this study is that the principal has successfully prioritized inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention, the principal has succeeded in creating a conducive atmosphere for teacher professional development.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading literacy in Indonesia, as evidenced by the PISA 2025 ranking that places Indonesia at 70th out of 80 countries, becoming a major challenge for the world of education. Although the government has issued various regulations such as the National Education System Law and the School Literacy Movement (GLS) to foster a reading culture, implementation in the field still faces obstacles, as indicated by fluctuations in literacy scores on the Education Report Card. This study aims to analyze reading literacy management at SDN Kemirimuka 2 and SDN Beji Timur 1. The theory of this research is to examine the management cycle according to Hanry Fayol which includes planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a multiple case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results of the study indicate that systematic and structured management of reading literacy programs based on Fayol's management principles is able to create a conducive learning environment and support a significant increase in students' reading abilities. Reading literacy management in both schools was implemented well. It has been proven that the implementation of Reading Literacy management using Henry Fayol's theory can improve the learning achievements of elementary school students.

Abstract

The adoption of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) in the educational sector has grown significantly, yet global trends and implementation remain underexplored. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to map these trends, identify influential works, and highlight regional variations in BSC research within education. The objective is to understand how educational institutions worldwide integrate BSC into their strategic management processes. Using bibliometric methods, we analyzed peer- reviewed journals from the Scopus database, focusing on BSC in education. Initially, 350 datasets were identified, refined to 192 after applying inclusion criteria, and further narrowed to 135 datasets based on relevance. The study examines publication trends, key authors, subject areas, productive countries, and influential articles. Cluster analysis identified the main research topics and emerging themes. Findings reveal significant expansion in BSC research in education over the past 26 years, with notable contributions from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Taiwan. High-impact studies focus on performance evaluation, quality management, and strategic alignment. Despite this growth, BSC research in education has not reached maturity, indicating potential for further exploration. This study fills a critical gap in bibliometric analyses of BSC in education, especially post-2018, and demonstrates the effective use of VOSviewer for mapping and visualizing data, offering insights for future research and practical applications.

Abstract

Keterampilan komunikasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting abad ke-21 yang perlu dikembangkan sejak pendidikan dasar. Namun, praktik pembelajaran di sekolah dasar masih cenderung berpusat pada guru sehingga kesempatan peserta didik untuk berinteraksi, berdiskusi, dan menyampaikan gagasan secara aktif masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi manajemen pembelajaran kolaboratif serta mengkaji kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus komparatif yang dilaksanakan pada tahun 2025 di dua sekolah dasar, yaitu SDN Pusakasari dan SDN Budibakti. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua guru kelas V dan 41 peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan fungsi manajemen pembelajaran yang meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan kepemimpinan, dan pengawasan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik yang meliputi kemampuan menyampaikan ide, mendengarkan aktif, bertanya, menanggapi, mengekspresikan gagasan, serta bekerja sama dalam kelompok. Peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi terlihat lebih signifikan pada sekolah yang menerapkan manajemen pembelajaran kolaboratif secara lebih sistematis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen pembelajaran kolaboratif merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang partisipatif dan mendukung pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis bagi kajian manajemen pembelajaran serta implikasi praktis bagi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran kolaboratif yang lebih efektif di sekolah dasar.
