Abstract

This study aims to determine the concentration and effect of adding cinnamon extract (Cinnamomum Burmannni) on pH, air content, antioxidant content and organoleptic test in cow's milk curd. This study was conducted at the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in May 2025. The experimental design in this study was a completely (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were the addition of cinnamon extract (Cinnamomum Burmannni) P0 (control), P1 (1%), P2 (2%), P3 (3%). This study used 4800 ml of cow's milk and 72 ml of cinnamon extract. The parameters observed were pH, air content, antioxidants and organoleptic test. The results of this study indicate that the addition of cinnamon extract has a significant effect. Phpujian obtained the highest test results P2 4.98 ± 0.01a, the water content obtained the best results P0 79.32 ± 1.51a, the highest antioxidant content P3 53.78 ± 4.02a. The taste test gave the best results in the P2 treatment, the color test gave the best results in the P2 treatment, the texture test gave the best results in the P3 treatment, the aroma test gave the best treatment results were P3 and the preference level test gave the best results in the P3 treatment of cow's milk dadih with the addition of cinnamon extract.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Relationship of Sexual Behavior to Sperm Production of Simmental Cattle in BIBD Banyumulek, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Evaluation of semen quality was carried out macroscopically including the number of spermatozoa volume and microscopically including motility and spermatozoa concentration. The analytical method used was a descriptive method and was analyzed using person correlation analysis. The results showed that the highest sexual behavior value (erection time) was found in the Surya 2 bull 28.44 ± 25.01 seconds, while the highest sexual behavior (reaction time) was found in the Surya 2 bull with a duration of 33.35 ± 23.88 seconds and the highest sexual behavior (ejaculation time) was found in the Surya 2 bull with a duration of 36.88 ± 10.50 seconds. The highest average value of Spermatozoa Production (TS) was found in the male Surya 2 63.78±42.69 (x10ml) and the highest average value of Total Motile Spermatozoa (TSM) was found in the male Surya 2 3856.69±2654.59 (x10ml). the results of the analysis showed an influence with a sig value (p<0,05) of sexual behavior on TS there was an influence with a sig value (0,04) and (0,02) in Simental cattle. Sexual behavior on TSM (p>0,05) there was no influence with a sig value (0,10) in Simental cattle at the regional artificial Insemination Center of West Nusa Tenggara province

Abstract

The Balitbangtan KUB chicken is a new superior variety of native chicken produced by the Agricultural Research and Development Agency. To increase the productivity of KUB chickens, high-quality feed is required. One local feed that has good nutritional value for chickens is the Moringa (Moringa oleifera) plant. Moringa, a type of legume, can be used as a source of protein for chicken growth. This study aimed to determine the effect of Moringa leaf meal on the growth quality of KUB chickens. Twenty 8-week-old KUB chickens were allocated to this study and divided into four treatment groups: (p0) = treatment without Moringa, (p1) = treatment with 2% Moringa leaves, (p2) = treatment with 5% Moringa leaves, and (p3) = treatment with 10% Moringa leaves. Data were analyzed statistically using the independent sample t-4 test or unpaired t-test using Microsoft Excel. Observed parameters included daily body weight gain, body weight gain, carcass weight, and non-carcass weight. The results showed that the addition of KUB chicken feed significantly affected the average final body weight of 1,300 g/chicken over 18 weeks, with a body weight gain of 600 g/chicken, a slaughter weight of 1,300 g, a carcass weight of 5,720 g/chicken, and a feed conversion ratio of 5.15. Meanwhile, the average final body weight of 1,207 g/chicken over 4 weeks was 1,300 g.
