ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan project based learning materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar, peningkatan hasil belajar, dan besar pengaruh penerapan project based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMPN 15 kota bengkulu. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan adalah Quasi Experiment Research tipe nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok sampel, yaitu sampel kelompok eksperimen yang berjumlah 22 orang dan kelompok kontrol berjumlah 22 orang. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk hasil belajar IPA. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis statistik dengan uji independent sample t-test (α = 0,05) didapatkan nilai taraf signifikansi 0,002 < 0,05 dan nilai thitung > ttabel, dimana 3,277 > 2,018 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan project based learning materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMPN 15 Kota Bengkulu. Penerapan pembelajaran IPA materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan menggunakan project based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain yang diperoleh sebesar 0,70 dalam kategori sedang. Besar pengaruh penerapan project based learning materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar siswa ditunjukkan melalui nilai effect size Cohen’s d sebesar 0,99 dengan kategori sangat besar. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan project based learning materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar siswa, juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap hasil belajar. ABSTRACT The study was to determine the effect of application project based learning material interaction of living things with the environment on learning outcomes, increasing learning outcomes, and the magnitude of the effect of application project based learning on student learning outcomes at SMPN 15 Bengkulu City. This research is quasi experiment research type nonequivalent control group design. This study used two sample groups, namely the experimental group with 22 people and the control group with 22 people. The research sample was taken using the technique purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using tests for science learning outcomes. Based on statistical hypothesis testing with independent sample t-test (α = 0.05) obtained a significance level value of 0.002 <0.05 and tcount > ttable, where 3.277 > 2.018 which means H0 rejected and Ha accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of application project based learning using science magazines on the interaction of living things with the environment on student learning outcomes at SMPN 15 Bengkulu City. Application of natural science learning materials on the interaction of living things with the environment using project based learning can improve learning outcomes. This is indicated by the average N-Gain value obtained at 0.70 in the medium category. Great influence of the application of the model project based learning material interaction of living things with the environment on student learning outcomes is shown through value effect size Cohen's d of 0.99 with a very large category. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of implementation project based learning material on the interaction of living things with the environment on student learning outcomes, can also improve learning outcomes and has a very large influence on learning outcomes.
