Abstract

The Qur’an is the holy book of Islam, believed to be the revelation of Allah (SWT) and possesses extraordinary uniqueness, one of which is the concept of I’jaz al-Qur’an(the inimitability of the Qur’an). This concept signifies that the Qur’an cannot be matched or imitated by anyone, whether in terms of its language, content, or message. This study aims to examine the distinctive aspects of the Qur’an’s inimitability as an eternal proof of its truth and relevance across all times. This research employs a qualitative approach through library research, analyzing Qur’anic verses as well as the perspectives of scholars and exegetes. The findings indicate that the inimitability of the Qur’an encompasses several dimensions, including linguistic excellence (balaghah), scientific insights, the perfection of its legal system, and its compatibility with the development of modern knowledge. These unique features not only serve as evidence of the Qur’an as a divine revelation but also present an open challenge to humanity to produce something comparable, a challenge that remains unmet to this day. In conclusion, the inimitability of the Qur’an stands as an authentic and everlasting proof of its truth, continuously relevant to human life. Understanding this concept is expected to strengthen the faith and conviction of Muslims in the Qur’an as a comprehensive guide for life.

Abstract

Tajweed constitutes a systematically structured scholarly discipline governing the correct and precise method of Qur'anic recitation. This study aims to examine the foundational concepts of tajweed and its recitation rules through a library research methodology, drawing upon classical Islamic texts and contemporary Islamic education literature. The discussion centers on three principal themes: first, the definition and legal standing of tajweed; second, the rules governing nun sakinah/tanwin and mim sakinah; and third, the rules of mad, qalqalah, ghunnah, tafkhim, and tarqiq. Each rule is analyzed comprehensively, encompassing operational definitions, applied examples, implementation procedures, commonly occurring errors, and pedagogicalimplications. This study affirms that reciting the Qur'an in accordance with tajweed holds the status of an individual obligation (fardhu'ain), rendering mastery of these rules an essential foundation in Qur'anic education. Educators are recommended to prioritize oral practice through the talaqqi method in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparative epistemology of education from a secular and Islamic perspective, as well as its implications for the goals and orientation of education. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods through analysis of various relevant scientific literature. The results of the study indicate that secular educational epistemology rests on rationalism and empiricism as the primary sources of knowledge, with truth criteria based on scientific verification and academic consensus, and tends to separate the metaphysical dimension from the educational process. Meanwhile, Islamic educational epistemology is integralistic, making revelation, reason, senses, and intuition complementary sources of knowledge within the framework of monotheism. Secular education is oriented towards the formation of rational and materially productive individuals, while Islamic education aims to form a perfect human being who integrates intellectual, moral, and spiritual intelligence. This comparison shows that fundamental differences lie in the philosophical foundations and worldviews of each paradigm. Therefore, efforts are needed to integrate knowledge within the framework of Islamic epistemology so that education can respond to the challenges of modernity without losing its transcendental dimension.
