Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the deep learning approach and improve students' motivation to learn mathematics through the application of the Deep Learning approach assisted by Zep Quiz to the topic of Relations and Functions. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) model Kemmis & McTaggart, implemented in two cycles. The subjects were eighth-grade students of MTs Ma'arif Ambulu. Data were obtained through learning motivation questionnaires, observation, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that learning motivation increased from 49% in the pre-cycle (moderate category), to 55% in the first cycle (moderate category), and reached 85% in the second cycle (very high category). Learning outcomes also increased from 55% in the pre-cycle to 70% in the first cycle and again to 77% in the second cycle. Based on this research, the application of the Deep Learning approach assisted by Zep Quiz has been proven to create meaningful, interactive, and enjoyable learning, thus significantly influencing students' motivation to learn mathematics. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pendekatan deep learning dan  meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan Deep Learning berbantuan Zep Quiz pada materi Relasi dan Fungsi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Ma’arif Ambulu. Data diperoleh melalui angket motivasi belajar, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar mengalami peningkatan dari pra siklus sebesar 49% (kategori sedang), meningkat menjadi 55% pada siklus I (kategori sedang), dan mencapai 85% pada siklus II (kategori sangat tinggi). Hasil belajar juga meningkat dari ketuntasan 55% pada pra siklus menjadi 70% pada siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 77% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, penerapan pendekatan Deep Learning berbantuan Zep Quiz terbukti mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna, interaktif, dan menyenangkan sehingga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika siswa.
