Abstract

Employee performance plays a strategic role in determining service quality in healthcare organizations, thus requiring an effective leadership model to encourage increased motivation and work productivity. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance in the healthcare sector. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach through the analysis of ten scientific articles from 2020–2025 selected based on topic suitability, publication feasibility, and relevance to the healthcare context in Indonesia. The results of the study show that transformational leadership consistently has a positive impact on employee performance in all categories of health professions, both clinical and administrative staff, with increased work enthusiasm, job satisfaction, and work effectiveness as the main driving factors. Leaders who are able to inspire, establish effective communication, and pay attention to the conditions of each individual have proven to be able to create a work atmosphere that supports performance improvement. These findings emphasize the importance of healthcare organizations strengthening the implementation of transformational leadership through training, leadership competency improvement, and strengthening a conducive work culture in order to maximize employee performance.

Abstract

Corn cobs (Zea mays L.) are a type of agricultural waste that has the potential to pollute the environment if not utilized optimally, even though they contain carbon that can be processed into biomass briquettes. This study aims to develop an innovation in the production of briquettes from corn cobs that function as an alternative energy source as well as a natural aromatherapy and mosquito repellent through the addition of lemongrass oil. The research method used a descriptive approach through a pilot study that included the process of corn cob carbonization, charcoal grinding and sieving, mixing with tapioca glue and lemongrass oil, molding, and briquette drying, with observational evaluation of physical characteristics and combustion behavior without controlled laboratory testing. The results showed that variations in material composition affected the physical characteristics and combustion performance of the briquettes. A formulation with a 20:2:1 ratio of corn cob charcoal powder, tapioca adhesive, and lemongrass oil produced briquettes with good density, resistance to cracking, relatively little ash and smoke, and a herbal aroma during combustion. The briquettes also showed potential in reducing the presence of mosquitoes around the area of use. This research has implications for the utilization of agricultural waste as an environmentally friendly product that has functional added value and has the potential to support the development of biomass-based alternative energy.

Abstract

Gender equality in the family is an important element in building a just and sustainable society. This research aims to explore the role of women in the family and the challenges faced in realizing gender equality, especially in the context of a strong patriarchal culture in Indonesia. Using a literature study method with a qualitative descriptive approach, this research examines ten relevant scientific articles in the time span of 2020 to 2025. The results show that women not only carry out domestic roles, but also play an active role in the family economy, children's education, and household decision-making. Awareness of the importance of equitable role sharing continues to increase, supported by education and education programs. However, social reality still shows male dominance in the family, as well as gender stereotypes that prevent women from being fully empowered. Local cultures such as the Dayak community show that local wisdom can be a force in creating equality. Therefore, collaborative efforts are needed between families, communities and the state through education, women's empowerment, and alignment of understanding of religious and cultural values, so that gender equality can truly be applied fairly and equally in family life in Indonesia.
