Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of education level, economic growth, and population on the unemployment rate in Bandung and Surabaya during the period 2015-2024. Utilizing a quantitative approach with panel data, this research employs the Random Effects Model, selected based on the results of the Chow test, Hausman test, and Lagrange Multiplier test. The findings indicate that the three independent variables collectively have a significant effect on the unemployment rate. However, when analyzed partially, none of the variables show a statistically significant individual effect on unemployment. This insignificance suggests that unemployment issues are not solely determined by education, economic growth, or population size, but are also influenced by other factors such as the mismatch between skills and labor market needs, the quality of education, and the regional economic structure that has yet to become fully inclusive. Therefore, the results of this study highlight the need for a more integrated and locally responsive employment development strategy. This research contributes to policymakers by providing insights for designing concrete and sustainable measures to reduce unemployment

Abstract

Keterbatasan jumlah tenaga kerja merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang sering dihadapi perusahaan kecil dan menengah dalam menjaga stabilitas operasional dan kinerja organisasi. Kondisi ini juga dialami oleh PT Bizpro yang memiliki keterbatasan sumber daya manusia sehingga memerlukan strategi pengelolaan tenaga kerja yang efektif dan adaptif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan dalam optimalisasi manajemen sumber daya manusia guna membantu perusahaan menjaga stabilitas organisasi pada kondisi keterbatasan tenaga kerja. Metode yang digunakan meliputi identifikasi permasalahan mitra, observasi langsung selama kegiatan magang selama empat bulan, diskusi dan wawancara informal dengan pihak manajemen, serta pendampingan dalam merumuskan strategi pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang lebih efektif. Pelaksanaan kegiatan difokuskan pada penguatan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia melalui optimalisasi struktur kerja berbasis kompetensi, sistem pengendalian kinerja berorientasi hasil, kepemimpinan partisipatif, pengembangan kompetensi karyawan, serta pemanfaatan program magang sebagai alternatif pemenuhan kebutuhan tenaga kerja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mitra memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai strategi manajemen sumber daya manusia yang adaptif dan humanis serta mampu mengoptimalkan pembagian tugas kerja secara lebih efektif. Penerapan strategi tersebut berkontribusi dalam menjaga stabilitas operasional perusahaan meskipun berada dalam kondisi keterbatasan tenaga kerja.

Abstract

Digital technology in boarding schools is needed to support the learning process and develop the potential of students. There are already many Islamic boarding schools that apply digital technology. However, there are people who consider that digital technology in Islamic boarding schools is still lagging behind, so there is a lack of interest of new students and parents in Islamic boarding schools that are considered outdated and old-fashioned compared to other educational institutions. The purpose of this study is useful to determine the progress of boarding schools that have implemented digital systems in their education management compared to boarding schools that have not implemented digital systems in their education management. Researchers also provide information on how effective the boarding school is in implementing its digital system. Research in the form of descriptive qualitative. Data collection through filling out questionnaires distributed to students who have experienced digital technology in their pesantren. The results showed that many Islamic boarding schools have implemented digital-based systems such as teacher and student attendance with fingerprints, barcodes for borrowing books, payments using e-wallets that have been systematized so that when the payment date appears notification to parents, create a website for student activities while in the Islamic boarding school and can be seen by parents. The digital system in pesantren has developed so that Many Islamic boarding schools have used digital systems in all fields of activity and learning, this is very helpful for Islamic boarding schools to develop and compete with other educational institutions
