Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fungsi pesantren sebagai institusi pendidikan Islam dalam mengembangkan kesadaran politik Islam di Indonesia. Dalam masyarakat yang didominasi oleh muslim, pesantren memiliki peran yang lebih luas daripada sekadar lembaga pendidikan agama. Mereka juga berfungsi sebagai agen sosialisasi politik, dengan memberikan pengajaran tentang nilai-nilai demokrasi, toleransi, dan kepemimpinan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan analisis pustaka, artikel ini menyelidiki berbagai aktivitas yang meliputi diskusi kitab kuning, forum khitabiyah, praktik demokrasi internal, serta kajian Bahts Al-Masail. Aktivitas-aktivitas tersebut berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam pembentukan pemikiran politik di kalangan santri secara alami. Peranan kiai sangat penting dalam memperkokoh keberadaan pesantren sebagai tempat yang berfungsi untuk membentuk karakter politik yang moderat dan memiliki sikap kritis. Walaupun demikian, pesantren kini menghadapi sejumlah tantangan sebagai dampak dari arus modernisasi dan perkembangan era digital. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan reformasi dalam kurikulum serta peningkatan literasi politik di kalangan santri. Penelitian terbaru mengungkapkan bahwa pesantren memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran politik di kalangan umat Islam dengan cara yang demokratis dan inklusif. Hal ini dilakukan sambil tetap mengedepankan etika serta nilai-nilai dalam ajaran Islam.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Pancasila values and Islamic teachings in civic education from the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith, and its implications for educational participation and gender equality in Bangka Regency. The study is motivated by the need to strengthen civic education through a value-based approach that aligns national ideology with religious principles. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, drawing on scholarly journal articles and normative sources, including the Qur’an and Hadith. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify conceptual relationships and thematic patterns. The findings indicate that Pancasila values, such as divinity, humanity, and social justice, are substantively aligned with Islamic teachings, particularly in promoting equality, justice, and moral responsibility. The Qur’anic perspective emphasizes the equality of all human beings regardless of gender, supporting equal access to education as a fundamental right. The integration of these values in civic education contributes to strengthening moral awareness and encouraging active participation in education. However, the study also identifies challenges in implementation, including socio-cultural barriers and limited contextual understanding of religious teachings, which may hinder gender equality in educational access and participation. The study concludes that a more systematic and contextualized approach is needed to effectively integrate these values in civic education. Further empirical research is recommended to explore practical implementation and its impact at the local level.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) in shaping the political orientation of santri within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). The study is grounded in the understanding that pesantren function not only as religious educational institutions but also as spaces for cultivating civic awareness and value-based political orientation. This research employs a qualitative approach through literature study and conceptual analysis of educational practices in pesantren. The findings indicate that the implementation of PPKn in pesantren is not limited to formal classroom instruction, but is deeply embedded in the pesantren culture, including the role modeling of kiai, deliberative traditions, and the collective life of santri. Pancasila values are not taught in isolation; rather, they are integrated with Islamic teachings, which contributes to the formation of a moderate, inclusive, and state-oriented political outlook among santri. This reflects the strategic role of pesantren in fostering political literacy grounded in moral and religious values. The study concludes that civic education in pesantren serves as an essential medium for developing political awareness that is not only normative but also practical in social life. Strengthening the integration between Pancasila values and Islamic teachings within pesantren education is therefore crucial in producing santri with mature and responsible political orientations.

Abstract

This article examines power relations and the practice of dual office-holding (rangkap jabatan) from the perspective of Islamic political ethics. In contemporary political governance, the accumulation of authority through concurrent positions has become a recurring issue, raising ethical concerns related to conflicts of interest, accountability, and the concentration of power. Islamic political ethics, as articulated in classical and modern Islamic political thought, emphasizes justice (ʿadl), trust (amānah), and the moral responsibility of political actors to prioritize public welfare over personal or group interests. This study employs a qualitative literature-based method, drawing on classical Islamic political texts, contemporary scholarly works, and recent governance discourses in Indonesia. The analysis shows that the practice of dual office-holding tends to weaken institutional balance and contradicts core ethical principles in Islamic political thought, particularly those related to responsibility, transparency, and the prevention of power abuse. The study argues that Islamic political ethics offers a relevant normative framework to critically assess power relations and to address ethical challenges in modern governance. Integrating these ethical principles can contribute to strengthening political accountability and public trust within democratic systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai instrumen advokasi oleh jaringan Republik Maluku Selatan (RMS) dalam konteks politik ekstra-parlementer digital serta implikasinya terhadap dinamika komunikasi politik dan ketahanan nasional. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada terbatasnya kajian yang mengkaji bagaimana aktor non-negara seperti RMS memanfaatkan ruang digital untuk mempertahankan eksistensi dan menyebarkan narasi politik secara transnasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis wacana terhadap konten komunikasi digital pada akun Instagram @pemerintahrms, @onzestrijd_rms, dan @demoteampemerintahrms, dengan fokus pada narasi, simbol, dan strategi komunikasi yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial dimanfaatkan sebagai ruang komunikasi politik alternatif untuk menyebarkan identitas politik, membangun solidaritas diaspora, serta menjaga visibilitas gerakan di ruang publik digital melalui strategi simbolik dan visual yang bersifat transnasional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa media sosial telah menjadi arena politik ekstra-parlementer digital yang memungkinkan aktor non-negara mempertahankan pengaruhnya di luar mekanisme formal. Namun, penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan pada fokus platform dan jumlah akun yang dianalisis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk memperluas objek kajian pada berbagai platform digital serta menggunakan pendekatan komparatif guna memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif.
