Abstract

This research discusses of extraterrestrial life from the perspective of the qur’an and science using analysis method Maudhu’i. The Qur'an is a miracle that is eternal and scientific in nature that actually invites each reader to discuss, study, and research the verses in order to find the nature of science. The questions that will be examined in this thesis are about: (1) What is the nterpretation of the qur’an verse about extraterrestrial life according to the mufassir? (2) How does science view extraterrestrial life? To answer the above problem the researcher used the type of literature research, then analyzed descriptively based on the interpretation of verses related extraterrestrial life using analysis method Maudhu’i the primary source is the book of Scientific Interpretation the existence of life in the universe from the perspective of the qur’an and science and smart science book in the qur’an and its secondary data include books, journals related to this research. The qur’an give a hint in surah as-syura verse 29 whit theword dabbah which mean creeping creatures that exist on earth an in the sky. The theory used in this study is conceptual thematic by explaining scientific meanings that are not mentioned in the Qur'an literally well as astrobilogy theory on understanding the dabbah theme in the qur’an. The result of this research is (1) relevance between the qur’an and science about extraterrestrial life. This is demonstrated by the discovery or microorganisms on mars and water on the planets of the solar system. (2) Surah al-anbiya verse 30 states that water is the main source of formation of life, the the discovery water on the planets Mars and Uranus is proof there is no contradiction between science and the qur’an.

Abstract

The environmental crisis is one of the biggest global challenges of the 21st century, with not only ecological but also social and spiritual impacts. Islam, as a comprehensive religion, has profound teachings regarding the relationship between humans and nature, as reflected in Surah Ali Imran verses 190-191, which commands tadabbur of Allah’s creation. This research aims to examine Surah Ali Imran verses 190-191 through classical and contemporary tafsir approaches to explore the values of ecological literacy contained therein, as well as its relevance to sustainable development. The research uses a qualitative method through literature study, with primary sources of the Qur’an and tafsir books, as well as secondary sources of eco-theology literature and global reports. The results show that this verse contains the value of tadabbur nature, recognition that nature is not in vain, ecological spirituality, ethics of balance, and environmental trust. These values are very relevant to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. The implementation of these verse-based ecological literacy values can be done through education, da’wah, and social policy. This article concludes that Surah Ali Imran verses 190-191 are important theological foundations for the development of an ecological literacy paradigm in Muslim society. Krisis lingkungan menjadi salah satu tantangan global terbesar abad ke-21, tidak hanya berdampak ekologis tetapi juga sosial dan spiritual. Islam, sebagai agama yang syumul, memiliki ajaran mendalam mengenai relasi manusia dan alam, sebagaimana tercermin dalam Surah Ali Imran ayat 190-191 yang memerintahkan tadabbur terhadap ciptaan Allah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji Surah Ali Imran ayat 190-191 melalui pendekatan tafsir klasik dan kontemporer untuk menggali nilai-nilai literasi ekologi yang terkandung di dalamnya, serta relevansinya terhadap pembangunan berkelanjutan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui studi pustaka, dengan sumber primer Al-Qur’an dan kitab tafsir, serta sumber sekunder literatur eco-theology dan laporan global. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ayat ini memuat nilai tadabbur alam, pengakuan bahwa alam tidak sia-sia, spiritualitas ekologi, etika keseimbangan, dan amanah lingkungan. Nilai-nilai ini sangat relevan untuk mendukung agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Implementasi nilai-nilai literasi ekologi berbasis ayat ini dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan, dakwah, dan kebijakan sosial. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa Surah Ali Imran ayat 190-191 merupakan fondasi teologis penting bagi pembangunan paradigma literasi ekologi dalam masyarakat Muslim.
