Abstract

Work stress is a frequent problem faced by health workers, especially nurses, which can adversely affect their performance and well-being. Excessive stress can cause physical and mental fatigue, reduce the quality of health care, and increase the number of absenteeism and turnover of nurses. Purpose: the study aims to identify factors that affect the work stress of nurses in the hospital inpatient dr. Rasidin Padang. Methods: the study used quantitative descriptive design with cross-sectional approach. The samples used were 45 nurses working in the inpatient room, taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires that measure the factors that cause work stress, namely workload, organizational factors, social support, and individual factors. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical analysis, frequency test, and Spearman correlation test to see the relationship between variables. Results: the results showed that most nurses in the hospital inpatient dr. Rasidin Padang reported moderate levels of work stress (44.44%), with 33.33% reporting high work stress and 22.22% low work stress. Bivariate analysis revealed that high workload had a significant positive association with work stress (r = 0.632, p < 0.01), while better social support was associated with lower levels of work stress (r = -0.408, p < 0.05). In addition, individual factors associated with personal stress also showed a significant positive association with occupational stress (r = 0.653, p < 0.01). Conclusion: inpatient nursing work stress can be reduced by managing the factors that influence it more effectively.

Abstract

Stunting is a major problem in Indonesia. Based on the results of the Indonesian Nutritional Status Study, the prevalence of stunting decreased from 24.4% in 2021 to 21.6% in 2022. The government's policy target for 2024 is 14%. The role of cadres helps raise family awareness to prevent stunting. Good cadre knowledge and skills can facilitate the dissemination of information and the practice of early detection of stunting screening. Card-Ting educational media is a stunting card containing signs of stunting (height and weight curves, bone and tooth growth, motor development). The study aims to analyze the effect of Card-Ting media on cadre knowledge and skills. The research design used a quasi-experimental with a pre-post test. The population was all village cadres in the stunting locus of Blora Regency. The sample of cadres was 60 cadres using a consecutive sampling technique. The treatment group was given stunting education using the Card-Ting module and media. Meanwhile, the control group used the module. Education was provided for 2 hours over 2 days. The first day was an explanation of stunting and the second day was practice using the Card-Ting media. The knowledge instrument used a questionnaire and the skills of Card-Ting Media practice cadres used a checklist observed for 3 months. The results of the pre-posttest analysis of knowledge and skills with a dependent t-test showed a difference before and after the value of p=0.000 (p<0.05). Statistical tests of the control and treatment groups using the Mann Whitney test showed a difference between the knowledge groups p=0.033 (p<0.05) and skills p=0.003 (p<0.05) meaning there is an effect of Card-Ting media on the knowledge and skills of cadres. Card-Ting media can help cadres carry out early detection of stunting so that appropriate preventive measures can be taken for children at risk of stunting.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of telehealth platform use on nurses’ mental health amid shifting work patterns and rising digital demands. Increased workload, adaptation to new technologies, and changes in patient interaction may trigger psychological problems, especially in facilities actively adopting telehealth. A quantitative cross-sectional design was conducted at RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung in 2025. The sample consisted of 75 nurses selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measuring levels of telehealth use and general mental health. Univariate analysis described frequency distributions, while bivariate analysis used the chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05. The univariate results showed that 70.7% of nurses had high telehealth use, and 60% experienced poor mental health conditions. Bivariate analysis indicated a significant relationship between telehealth use and nurses’ mental health (p-value = 0.004). Nurses with high telehealth use had a 2.3 times greater risk of experiencing mental health disorders compared to those with lower use. In conclusion, telehealth platform use significantly affects nurses’ mental health. These findings highlight the importance of digital workload management policies, strengthened institutional support, and continuous promotive and preventive programs to maintain nurses’ mental well-being.
