Abstract

Abstrak: Pisang merupakan komoditas potensial di Desa Kuta yang biasanya dijual petani langsung ke pedagang pengumpul dengan harga sangat rendah, padahal berpotensi diberikan nilai tambah dengan diversifikasi olahan produk berbasis less waste. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam diversifikasi produk olahan pisang dan juga keterampilan dalam pengemasan dan branding produk hasil olahan tersebut. Mitra pengabdian yaitu 19 orang anggota Dasawisma Kapilit di desa Kuta. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) yang diimplementasikan dalam 4 tahapan yaitu tahap identifikasi permasalahan, tahap penyuluhan, tahap pelatihan yaitu pelatihan pengolahan diversifikasi olahan pisang aneka rasa, pelatihan branding dan pengemasan produk, dan pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan melakukan pretest dan postest, dan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan terkait peluang usaha dan kewirausahaan menjadi dari 49% menjadi 93%, peningkatan keterampilan diversifikasi pengolahan produk dari 53% menjadi 96%, dan peningkatan keterampilan pengemasan dan branding dari 46% menjadi 92%. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menghasilkan 3 produk olahan pisang yang sudah dikemas dengan branding dan siap dipasarkan yaitu keripik pisang, stik pisang dan keripik batang pisang aneka rasa.Abstract: Bananas are a potential commodity in Kuta Village which are usually sold directly by farmers to collectors at very low prices, even though they have the potential to be given added value by diversifying processed products based on less waste. This community service activity aims to improve entrepreneurial knowledge and community skills in diversifying processed banana products and also skills in packaging and branding of these processed products. The community service partners are 19 members of Dasawisma Kapilit in Kuta Village. This activity is carried out using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach which is implemented in 4 stages: the problem identification stage, the extension stage, the training stage namely training in processing diversified processed bananas with various flavors, product branding and packaging training, and mentoring. Evaluation was carried out by conducting pretests and posttests, and showed an increase in knowledge related to business and entrepreneurship opportunities from 49% to 93%, an increase in product processing diversification skills from 53% to 96%, and an increase in packaging and branding skills from 46% to 92%. This community service activity produced 3 processed banana products that have been packaged with branding and are ready to be marketed, namely banana chips, banana sticks and banana stem chips in various flavors.
