Abstract

Pancasila is the foundation of the state, the national ideology, and the ethical guideline for national and state life. However, in contemporary Indonesian political practice, a significant gap remains between the ideal values of Pancasila and the reality of political behavior. Phenomena such as corruption, money politics, polarization, hate speech, and abuse of power demonstrate the weak internalization of Pancasila values within the political system. This article aims to analyze the forms of this gap, its causes, and its implications for the quality of Indonesian democracy. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature review. The results indicate that the gap arises from a weak ethical political culture, inconsistent law enforcement, low elite role models, and the strengthening of pragmatic politics. Efforts to strengthen Pancasila political ethics need to be carried out through character education, political party reform, and just law enforcement.

Abstract

The phenomenon of managing allowances for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives has become a public issue fraught with problems of political ethics, constitutional legitimacy, and social perception. Although legislative allowances have a strong legal basis within the framework of constitutional law, their management practices have drawn criticism for being opaque, unaccountable, and inconsistent with the principles of social justice. The crisis of legitimacy has intensified due to the poor quality of the DPR's legislative, oversight, and political representation performance, compounded by numerous corruption cases involving legislators. The controversy over DPR allowances in August 2025 is a clear example of how poor political communication and a lack of transparency can trigger public anger and exacerbate social polarization. From a political ethics perspective, the management of the state budget, including DPR allowances, must be based on transparency, accountability, and a commitment to the public interest. When political ethics are not implemented, the psychological distance between the people and their representatives widens, public trust declines, and the constitutional authority of parliament weakens. This study emphasizes that the institutional integrity of the DPR and the stability of the political system depend on the institution's ability to restore trust through ethical, transparent, and fair budget management.

Abstract

Rupiah redenomination is a strategic monetary policy aimed at simplifying the nominal value of currency without altering its real purchasing power. This policy is designed as part of the modernization of the payment system and the enhancement of economic transaction efficiency in Indonesia. However, the implementation of redenomination involves not only technical monetary aspects but also macroeconomic stability, public perception, and the philosophical values underlying public policy. This study aims to analyze the concept and mechanism of Rupiah redenomination, identify potential challenges to macroeconomic stability, and examine the relevance of Pancasila values as an ethical foundation for the formulation and implementation of the policy. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method based on a literature review of publications from Bank Indonesia, statutory regulations, and relevant national and international scholarly works. The findings indicate that redenomination has the potential to improve economic efficiency and enhance the national currency’s credibility, provided it is supported by macroeconomic stability, adequate institutional readiness, and effective public communication strategies. Furthermore, Pancasila values play a crucial role in ensuring that the redenomination policy is implemented in a fair, transparent, participatory, and welfare-oriented manner.

Abstract

Title in English. The digital era presents a rapid flow of information and global cultural influences that potentially weaken the understanding and application of national values. The re-actualization of Pancasila is a strategic step to ensure that the state ideology remains relevant and functions as a moral guide in modern society. This study emphasizes the importance of presenting Pancasila values in a contextual and easily understandable manner through value-based digital literacy, creative digital media utilization, and the application of ethical media practices. The strategy also includes strengthening cross-sector collaboration, integrating Pancasila-based projects in education and communities, and adapting Pancasila values to contemporary issues such as equality, digital rights, and environmental sustainability. The findings indicate that this approach can help society understand, internalize, and practically apply Pancasila values, keeping the state ideology alive, relevant, and adaptive to social, cultural, and technological challenges in the digital era. This study confirms that strengthening Pancasila-based digital literacy not only preserves national values but also fosters a critical, participatory, and responsible society amid global dynamics.
