Abstract

Oyster mushrooms are safe for consumption. The growth of mushrooms in mushroom houses is highly dependent on physical factors such as temperature, humidity, light, pH of the growing medium, and aeration. In this paper researcher concern research physical factors of temperature as a control growth of mushrooms in mushroom houses. The temperature in the mushroom house is very important to note because temperature is one of the factors that affects the performance of enzymes and the metabolism of oyster mushrooms. By implementing automatic temperature and humidity control in mushroom houses, the quality of oyster mushroom harvests can be improved and the income of local oyster mushroom farmers can be increased, thereby helping the government in increasing regional income. The results obtained from this automatic control are that the automatic temperature and humidity device was successfully made according to the design. Furthermore, the results of the tool testing, namely for the electronic tool expert test, obtained 95.45% in very decent qualifications, the results of the small group test were 90.85% in very good qualifications, and the results of the large group test were 91.80% in very good qualifications. The temperature and humidity control device can be of positive benefit to the community, especially to oyster mushroom farmers.

Abstract

The danger of fire can have fatal consequences such as loss of property and even loss of life. Preventive action is necessary to avoid, prevent and minimize the occurrence of fire disasters. This research aims to design and build a smoke and fire detection system based on sensors, microcontrollers, which can be used to detect potential fire hazards in certain houses or buildings. The research method in designing this system refers to the prototyping model. The components used are MQ-02 sensors, KY-026 sensors, microcontrollers, alarm buzzers, and SMS notification senders and GSM calls using the SIM800L module. The results of the research are a fire detection alarm system and electricity circuit breaker, which functions to provide early warning of potential fires through buzzer alarms and SMS notifications and GSM calls. This system can be used to help detect and avoid potential fire hazards

Abstract

Daily temple operations in Balinese Hindu temples often require caretakers to manually activate and deactivate lamps and loudspeakers, especially for routine prayer activities such as Tri Sandya at 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00. This manual process can be inefficient when operators are unavailable and may cause unnecessary electricity consumption when devices remain active longer than needed. This study develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Temple prototype for remote lamp and loudspeaker control at Pengulon Traditional Village Temple. The system was designed using an ESP32 microcontroller, a four-channel relay module, and a web-based interface that enables users to control temple devices through an internet connection. The research applied a prototype development model consisting of communication, quick planning, quick design modelling, prototype construction, deployment, and feedback. Functional testing showed that all connected devices could be activated and deactivated successfully through the web interface. The speaker was activated in 1.51 seconds and deactivated in 2.10 seconds, while the three lamp channels showed activation times between 3.61 and 4.40 seconds and deactivation times between 1.30 and 2.50 seconds. These results indicate that the proposed prototype can support more practical, flexible, and efficient temple device management. The contribution of this study lies in adapting low-cost IoT-based relay control to the operational context of a traditional worship facility, where remote accessibility, ritual scheduling needs, and energy-use efficiency are important practical considerations.
