Abstract

This community service activity aims to help students better understand communication ethics and reduce the risk of bullying and cyberbullying through a socialization program titled “Typing Wisely, Speaking Politely: Communication Ethics for a Bullying-Free Student Environment at SMA Negeri 1 Cepogo.” The rationale behind this activity is the students’ improper use of digital media and their tendency to communicate disrespectfully such as mocking others, sharing photos without permission, and excessive joking which can lead to bullying. The method used is a combination of qualitative descriptive data and quantitative data from pre-test and post-test results. The activity involved delivering material, interactive discussions, case simulations, short interviews, and comprehension evaluations. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding, as indicated by the pre-test score of 80% increasing to 100% in the post-test. Students also demonstrated behavioral changes, such as becoming more aware of the limits of joking, respecting privacy, and understanding the legal risks of digital communication. This activity shows that school-based education can be an effective way to build a culture of ethical, empathetic, and bullying-free communication. These findings highlight the importance of continuous digital literacy programs to foster a safe and harmonious school environment.

Abstract

Klanceng honey is a type of honey produced by stingless bees. The characteristics of klanceng honey are a liquid texture and a more sour or bitter taste. The content of honey is influenced by the honey's food source, which can be seen from the pollen contained in the honey. Identified pollen can be used to indicate the characteristics of the plants that serve as bee food sources. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of pollen sources in klanceng honey from Penggung Village, Boyolali Regency; Kebonrejo Village, Magelang Regency; Ceper Village, and Ngemplak Village, Klaten Regency, which can be used to identify plants that serve as bee food sources and be used to label honey based on its food source. The sampling method used exploratory sampling with purposive sampling. The pollen analysis method used acetolysis. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results of melisopalinology showed that there were 26 plant pollen families contained in the four klanceng honeys, with coconut (Cocos nucifera) pollen being the most dominant. Klanceng honey from Ceper and Kebonrejo villages is monofloral, while honey from Penggung village is bifloral, and honey from Ngemplak village is multifloral. The conclusion of this study is that the plant diversity of klanceng bees' food sources is diverse.
