Abstract

Pembelajaran materi hutang dan riba dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam sering menghadapi tantangan yaitu rendahnya keaktifan siswa pada proses belajar. Penyebabnya ialah karena penyampaian materi cenderung bersifat teoritis dan kurang dikaitkan dengan pengalaman nyata, sehingga makna dan penerapan di kehidupan sehari-hari sulit dipahami oleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas penggunaan metode roleplaying sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi hutang dan riba. Desain one group pretest posttest digunakan pada penelitian ini, yang mana siswa diberikan tes sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya metode role playing. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda serta dokumentasi proses pembelajaran. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai pemahaman siswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil uji paired sample t-test nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,008, yang terdapat di bawah taraf signifikansi 0,05. Selain itu, hasil perhitungan N-Gain sebesar 0,338 yang artinya masuk dalam kategori peningkatan sedang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan menggunakan metode roleplaying, karena memberikan pengalaman belajar kontekstual yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam skenario kehidupan nyata. Dengan demikian, role playing dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif pada materi fiqih muamalah di sekolah.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of bullying and moral degradation among students necessitates schools to strengthen character education through effective approaches. This study aims to analyze student perceptions of Islamic Spiritual extracurricular activities (Rohis) and their contribution to character building at SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and open-ended questionnaires administered to Rohis members and supervising teachers. The findings reveal an interesting dynamic in perception: students tend to interpret Rohis through operational tasks (such as maintaining mosque order and arranging prayer rows), while teachers emphasize the aspect of moral cultivation. Nevertheless, both perspectives converge on the conclusion that structured Rohis activities (daily, weekly, and annual) are effective in shaping student character. The character values developed include religious discipline, responsibility, politeness, and self-confidence. The study concludes that Rohis serves not merely as a gathering place but as a crucial medium for habituation in internalizing Islamic values and preventing deviant behavior within the school environment.   Keywords: Rohis, Character Education, Student Perception, Religious Character, SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the problems of education in Islamic boarding schools from a philosophical perspective by highlighting the dialectic between tradition and modernity. Pesantren as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia faces a double challenge: maintaining traditional values rooted in spirituality and manners, while adapting to the currents of modernity that demand methodological innovation, rationality, and efficiency. This research uses a library research approach by examining academic literature, scientific journals, and contemporary researchers on Islamic boarding school transformation. The results of the study show that the problems of Islamic boarding school education include epistemological, methodological, and axiological aspects. Epistemologically, Islamic boarding schools are still trying to unite religious science and general science in an integrative scientific paradigm. Methodologically, Islamic boarding schools face challenges in adapting modern technology and learning systems without ignoring the characteristics of the typical teacher-student relationship.
