Abstract

Lingula anatina or also known as baree is an animal that has legs and no spine. Baree is one of the few marine avertebrates that has the most complete fossil record, this species can play a role in ecological monitoring and maintaining the health of marine ecosystems. This study aims to identify and analyze the types of ectoparasites and endoparasites as well as measure the prevalence and intensity of infection in Lingula anatina (baree) at Ujung Pancu Beach, Aceh Besar. The results showed the presence of ectoparasites Pedicellina cernua (Entoprocta) and Unitubilotestis sp. (Platyhelminthes), as well as endoparasites Perkinsus spp. (Perkinsozoa) and Hysterothylacium aduncum (Nematoda). The prevalence of ectoparasite infection ranged from 0.08%, with an intensity of 1 individual per sample, while the prevalence of endoparasites ranged from 0.03%-0.22% with an intensity of 1.45-2.81 individuals per sample. These findings add insight into the parasites infecting Lingula anatina and contribute to ecological monitoring and marine ecosystem health.Keywords:L. anatinaFilter feederNematodaPlatyhelminthes

Abstract

Kabupaten Simeulue adalah salah satu pulau yang berada di Provinsi Aceh berhadapan langsung dengan Samudra Hindia. Data dari Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Aceh menyebutkan bahwa Simeulue memiliki luas ekosistem mangrove dalam kawasan berkisar 799,69 Ha. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni Agustus 2024 di Pesisir Pantai Desa Linggi, Kabupaten Simeulue. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur komunitas ekosistem mangrove di Pesisir Pantai Desa Linggi, Kabupaten Simeulue. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Purposive sampling dengan 3 stasiun dan 3 plot. Hasil analisis ditemukan 2 jenis mangrove yaitu Avicennia marina dan Rhizopora apiculata. Jumlah seluruh total individu yang ditemukan di Pesisir Pantai Desa Linggi, Kabupaten Simeulue yaitu 190 individu. Jenis mangrove paling banyak yang ditemukan yaitu A. marina dengan jumlah 116 individu dan jenis mangrove yang paling sedikit yaitu R. apiculata dengan jumlah 74 individu. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman tergolong dalam kategori rendah, Nilai indeks keseragaman tidak ada pada stasiun I dan pada stasiun II dan III tergolong dalam kondisi stabil, Indeks dominansi pada stasiun I tergolong tinggi dan pada stasiun II dan III tergolong sedang.
