Abstract

Customer service at PDAM Tirta Randik in Sungai Lilin District still faces several issues, such as delays in delivering billing information, manual data recording processes, and frequent input errors in customer data. Previous studies on PDAM information systems generally focused only on data recording or water flow monitoring, but have not provided an integrated solution for mobile-based customer management. This study presents a novelty in the form of an Android-based Customer Management Information System integrated with a server database, designed to provide real-time information access, automated billing generation, and monitoring of water usage history. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model. The system was evaluated using: (1) black-box testing to validate system functionality; and (2) usability assessment using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to determine user acceptability. The results of black-box testing indicated that all features operated according to specifications. The SUS evaluation involving 20 respondents produced an average score of 82.5, categorized as “Excellent” with an acceptance level of Grade A. This information system can improve the accuracy of customer data recording, accelerate access to billing information, and enhance user satisfaction. It can serve as a reference model for the digitalization of PDAM services and has the potential for further development through the integration of digital payment features.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design and develop an information system for boarding house (kost) search in the Plaju area of Palembang using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The system aims to facilitate students and newcomers in finding available boarding houses efficiently without the need to visit each location manually. This study was motivated by the challenges faced by students from outside Palembang who struggle to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about available kosts near their campuses. The research applied the RAD methodology, which emphasizes fast and iterative development through three main stages: requirement planning, design workshop, and implementation. Data were collected through observation and literature studies to analyze user needs and system requirements. The system was developed using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL, with Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools such as use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams used to model the system. Black-box testing was performed to evaluate system functionality. The resulting web-based application allows users to view detailed kost information, including prices, facilities, and locations, and to contact the owner directly via WhatsApp. The system also includes features for admin and owner management of kost data. Testing results show that all system functions performed as expected, and the RAD approach enabled faster development and higher user satisfaction. The RAD-based kost information system successfully streamlines the search and management of kost data in Plaju. It improves accessibility and efficiency for users and owners. Future improvements could include Android integration, enhanced user interface design, and online hosting for broader accessibility.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan aplikasi pengelola file berbasis Android yang mampu membantu pengguna mengatur berkas secara lebih efisien pada penyimpanan lokal perangkat. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari meningkatnya kebutuhan pengguna terhadap manajemen file yang cepat, mudah, dan dapat digunakan tanpa koneksi internet, mengingat aplikasi bawaan Android belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Aplikasi dirancang agar dapat menjalankan berbagai fungsi dasar seperti mengelola, mencari, mengelompokkan, serta mengoptimalkan penyimpanan file di perangkat mobile. Bahan dan metode. Penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model Waterfall melalui tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, hingga pengujian. Perancangan sistem dilakukan dengan diagram dan rancangan antarmuka, sedangkan proses pembuatan aplikasi menggunakan Android Studio. Pengujian dilakukan melalui blackbox testing untuk menilai fungsi aplikasi berdasarkan keluaran tanpa melihat proses internal sistem, serta User Acceptance Testing (UAT) untuk mengukur penerimaan pengguna Hasil. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan berhasil menyediakan fitur utama seperti delete, rename, copy, paste, share, zip, unzip, pencarian file, pembuatan folder baru, serta melihat file tersembunyi. Seluruh fitur diuji dan berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil pengujian juga menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi mampu memberikan pengalaman penggunaan yang lebih sederhana dan efisien dibandingkan aplikasi pengelola file bawaan, serta lebih praktis daripada aplikasi berbasis cloud karena tidak memerlukan koneksi internet. Kesimpulan. Aplikasi pengelola file berbasis Android ini terbukti memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dalam mengatur berkas secara lokal melalui fitur yang lengkap, antarmuka yang sederhana, serta proses akses yang cepat. Aplikasi ini dapat menjadi solusi alternatif dalam pengelolaan file pada perangkat mobile dan berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan fitur lanjutan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna

Abstract

This study analyzes public sentiment toward two potential candidates for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election, Anies Baswedan and Ridwan Kamil, using Twitter data. Applying the TextBlob model for text extraction and Naive Bayes for sentiment classification found that sentiment toward Anies Baswedan is mostly positive, 52.2%, while neutral sentiment dominates for Ridwan Kamil. The accuracy of the Naive Bayes model reached 80% for Anies Baswedan and 72% for Ridwan Kamil, with higher precision, recall, and F1-score for Anies' data. These results indicate that the model is more accurate in classifying sentiment toward Anies compared to Ridwan Kamil. The implications of these findings are important for political campaign strategies, where Anies can leverage the existing positive support, while Ridwan Kamil has an opportunity to strengthen public engagement through a more strategic approach, in line with the sentiment emerging on social media.

Abstract

Employee attendance and task management are important elements in maintaining organizational productivity, accountability, and operational efficiency. Conventional attendance systems, such as manual recording and fingerprint devices, still face several limitations including fraud potential, inaccurate data recording, and lack of flexibility for field employees. This research aims to design and develop an integrated Android-based attendance and task management application by utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS), Location Based Service (LBS), visual attendance validation, and real-time task monitoring features. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach combined with Agile Development to accelerate system implementation through iterative processes and continuous user feedback. The application integrates attendance recording, GPS location validation, employee task assignment, progress monitoring, and deadline notifications into a single platform. System testing was conducted using the Black-box Testing method to evaluate application functionality and reliability. The results show that the developed system successfully performs core functions such as login, GPS-based attendance, task management, attendance reports, and task monitoring with a testing success rate of 94%. The system is also capable of reducing attendance manipulation through real-time location validation and activity monitoring mechanisms. This research contributes an integrated mobile solution that improves attendance accuracy, task transparency, work efficiency, and employee productivity in organizations with high workforce mobility.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi pemesanan rumah kayu berbasis web di Sahmin Rumah Kayu dengan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD). Proses manual sebelumnya menimbulkan kendala efisiensi dan keterbatasan jangkauan pasar. Metode RAD dipilih karena cepat dan berorientasi pengguna. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan studi pustaka. Sistem yang dihasilkan memungkinkan pelanggan memesan secara online, dan admin dapat mengelola transaksi serta laporan. Sistem ini diharapkan meningkatkan efisiensi pemesanan, meminimalkan kesalahan, dan memperluas akses pelanggan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah prototipe sistem informasi yang memungkinkan pelanggan untuk melakukan pemesanan, melihat katalog rumah kayu, serta mendapatkan informasi secara real-time. Sistem ini dirancang menggunakan teknologi web dengan antarmuka yang responsif dan ramah pengguna. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi proses pemesanan serta memperluas jangkauan pemasaran rumah kayu secara digital. Kata Kunci: Sistem Berbasis Web, Rumah Kayu, Metode RAD Abstract This study aims to design a web-based wooden house ordering system at Sahmin Rumah Kayu using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The current manual process causes inefficiencies such as delayed communication and limited market reach. The RAD method enables fast, user-oriented system development through requirement planning, design, and implementation stages. Data collection used observation and literature review. The resulting system allows users to view products and place orders online, while administrators manage transactions and monitor reports via a dashboard. This system improves order efficiency, reduces errors, and expands customer access. The result of this research is a prototype of an information system that allows customers to place orders, view the catalog of wooden houses, and access information in real-time. The system is designed using web-based technology with a responsive and user-friendly interface. With the implementation of this system, it is expected to improve the efficiency of the ordering process and expand the marketing reach of wooden houses digitally.
